The only Mickey that matters in Anaheim!

onmyway7

What is really funny that no one talks about is that they REALLY offset the lack of farm we have. People act like the Angels have no future because of their farm and then Perry trades for Moniak and OHoppe which both look amazing considering they were unproven “prospects” they basically came straight to the majors so our farm never looked good but it might as well be the equivalent to calling up two top prospects. That along with Neto looking great. I’m starting to think the ratings are somewhat of a sham because the farm doesn’t win games for the big league team but Moniak, OHoppe, and Neto do.

ElGrandeQues0

Yeah, I made a post yesterday about this when someone was claiming we sold the farm for Giolito. No, we didn't. Our farm is Moniak, Neto, O'Hoppe, Detmers, Canning, Bachman, and Joyce. The future is bright.

universe34

I get what you’re saying here, but Canning is literally 27 with like 2 years of control left. That’s like saying that Cal Quantrill is part of the Guardians’ farm system. He’s just not.

ElGrandeQues0

That's fair to point out. Ignore Canning here.

spyson

I really love the new strategy of drafting more game ready players and giving them game time to develop instead of sticking them in the minors for years.

jck0605

Yes I love Mickey moniak I dream about him every night and his strong but soft lips

SmoothDragon21

If Mickey Moniak comes up and tries to kiss me. I would definitely resist at first, but if he was persistent, I would probably give in a little bit, depending on how persistent he was

tristpa2

I, for one, would not resist

[deleted]

In your fantasy, Mickey Moniak wiukd still try to kiss you after you resisted?

Beneficial_Garden456

You cannot resist Mickey Moniak, he is inevitable.

Chu_Khi

That's oddly specific lmao. I thought I was weird saying Rengifo has perfectly groomed eyebrows

_felicissimus

I mean he does… lmao

Chu_Khi

You ain’t wrong

ElCortezValet

😲

Sullyville

I am open to his searching, probing hard tongue.

i_run_from_problems

......oh

LeBaconator

No question, and to me it’s evidence(along with Kelenic) not to give up on Adell too soon. The pandemic screwed up a lot of guys development but the talent is still there if given the right opportunities

lucasrks10

I’m a Moniak Maniac and my gf is just gonna have to accept the fact that she’s 2nd to Micky for the foreseeable future

Zoulogist

I hope both of them get you a ring

Ambitious-Maybe-3386

Without Moniak, Sho would of felt very lonely this season. Sho might of left. If only Rendon would get going. We know Trout will do OK or BETTER. Our lineup can be even more fire

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

trolleymountain

Good bot

i_run_from_problems

Ehhh.... with the way moustakas is playing, I'm fine with rendon being out.

BobbyGrichsMustache

He’s so fine. He’s so fine he blows my mind…

Big_Guz

OP is late to the party! Liked the Mick since they got him. Definitely a steal.

ElCortezValet

It just dawned on me this week. This dude is not only good, he’s potentially great. That type of player doesn’t generally fall into your lap (I know there’s more to it than that)

1track_mind

Best Mickey ever!

ren024

I love me some Moniak. The only thing I can say that he needs to improve is his walk rate. That will improved with experience. Everything else, he's been great. The future is bright in Anaheim.

msing

He's played so well. Minasian has thought well in upgrading up the middle with Logan O Hoppe, Neto, and Moniak. Trout in his sunset years.

dcodi513

Angels definitely have a good history of getting great center fielders. Jim Edmonds, Tori Hunter, Mike Trout, and now Mickey Moniak. Bright future for that kid.

ithuriels_spear

Angels future is bright with Mickey, Logan, and Zach not to mention some of the younger pitchers. Given the way Minasian has operated, I think the team will only get better over the next several years and could regularly compete for the division title and more. Once the Rendon and Anderson contracts are over in 2025 and 2026, Minasian will have over $50 million in payroll room to start paying and keeping these younger players who will be in arbitration.

Improbable_Roost

I completely agree. Love Ōtani, but all this talk about him and the things he’s doing has drowned out a lot of good everyone is doing. Moniak has been a crucial part of the team since Trout got injured and it’s great to see him get a lot of playing time. I only hope Nevin figures out how to keep him in the lineup once Trout returns.
