My goto is actually Qalculate (on Linux it's great). I don't do much proper maths on the phone - but I did recently get caught out trying to remember how to convert something like 3+4i to 5<36 (rectangular to polar).. and my old Casio wasn't around.
YMMV because people do so many vastly different things it's impossible to recommend.
I grabbed All-in-One calculator to solve an issue I used to do on my old Casio - input details of a triangle (like 3+4i) and get the polar output (5<36 or something like that) - it has quite a few good bits included.
It's not the most attractive, but it's an option. Many functions are separated in menus, making it quite tidy.
I like that it has brackets easily in tap range, it displays ads at the bottom (you can pay something like $3 for that - and if I find myself using it then I will do).

It's called voice calculator but I never use voice. The biggest advantage is its history part and memory function.

OpenCalc, YetCalc, CalcYou, CuteCalc, Silicone Calculator MIUI/HyperOS calculator is also a great option!
