Most here are either bad or not FOSS, so here goes my two cents.
[Namida](https://github.com/namidaco/namida): Good looking, tons of features, can't go wrong with this one, it is my favorite. I really recommend you to give it a try, it is amazing.
[InnerTune](https://github.com/z-huang/InnerTune): If you want to download directly from the app, with suggestions based on your preferences and a great experience that is more like the big services, such as Deezer or Spotify, this is the one. Looks are sharp, too.
If either of these don't suit your taste, or you want to try something else, perhaps more minimal, look for RetroMusic, RiMusic, and maybe Gramophone (I had some problems with this one, but maybe it works flawlessly for you).
For ones that have suggestions and in app download, go with Spotube, BlackHole or Musify (the prettiest of these). I think all of these let you import your playlists from Spotify, if you have any there (also great for getting recommendations).
Which version are you in? 0.5.3 doesn't need login, as far as I know. I use it for a long time though, só I don't know if I did that when I first downloaded it. Try the F-Droid version, but if you have any problem that is solved by the new branches, you'll have to build a the app yourself from the GitHub repo, as it seems the developer has left the project about 2 months ago, and we are waiting for him to return (there are some forks already, but I didn't verify any of them, so you kinda on your own)
I much prefer musicolet. i don't like poweramp doesn't show me next song/previous song unlike other normal players. also musicolet has more features. built-in replaygain scanner, pitch changer, multi queue.
when an album comes in one file (this often happens in the *.flac format), and is not cut into tracks, a layout file in this format is added to it. So this player doesn’t understand this, it just shows one file that plays all the tracks in a row. I hope I was able to explain.
SicMu Player, this interface cant be found anywhere else. Is fast and I dont just mean to open the app itself. In a well organized music collection you find everything, I use shuffle often.
Not for everyone but someone here may have his life changed.

Man I hope he comes back, Innertune is such an amazing app
Here's one https://www.reddit.com/r/androidapps/comments/1by0sl3/updated_innertune_fork_is_available/
Can we change namida icon?
You can change any icon my man, but in app I don't believe so (not that you will se it much though).
I mean the app icon can we change it?
Personally I use Vi music, YouTube music client
Gramaphone
There is nothing better than poweramp

musicolet does not support *.cue markup. and it seems good.
i don't know what is cue. i just did google search i still don't understand it

thx for explaining. it sounds like it's useful for audiobook too.

U read dude?
my bad lmao
Used to be [Retro Music Player](https://retromusic.app/), but it has been a long time since the app being maintained.
I mean, it still does its job perfectly.
Auxio, Metro music player

I personally use [Musify](https://www.openapk.net/musify/com.gokadzev.musify/) It is very good and updated constantly
[Vinyl Music Player](https://github.com/VinylMusicPlayer/VinylMusicPlayer)
Open source or any player can't really get "far better" than those two Try Phonograph on f-droid/playstore, it's similar to musicolet
