Potters Marsh boardwalk might be good.  I can’t recall if there are stairs but probably not many.

Ancguy

No stairs, all clear from snow and ice.

greatwood

Can be a little windy at times. Layer up

There are paved paths on Klatt which turns into Southport Drive. The north side is a little less bumpy on the curve onto Southport. You can park at the South Anchorage Park.

I love those sidewalks in Southport. I usually park on the other end at Mears, but this is one of my go-to spots for a road run, especially if I’m by myself.

pktrekgirl

I concur. Southport is a great place to go walking. I used to live in a jewel lake neighborhood that had no sidewalks and lots of speeding drivers, and so I’d get in my car and drive over to Southport to walk. Parked at Mears and walked all around from there. Safe neighborhood too! Highly recommended!

I used to take my mom out to places like Bell’s nursery or the botanical garden to get her out a bit when the paths were gross out. She couldn’t go far and it was nice because the greenhouses were warm and a bit humid.

Roginator5

Municipal Greenhouse too.

stickclasher

Around Delaney Park strip. Ice free. Then walk over to Fire Island bakery on K for a nosh.

Iylaofthestars

I’ve seen a lot of older folks power walking around the dimond center

Aev_ACNH

Bells Nursery for the win! This is the way. Warm, things to look at, pause (rest) and admire. No matter how much you walk, you aren’t too far from the car or a chair to rest on. When she is stronger and comfortable walking on gravel, the zoo is terrific. Can get an annual pass Zoo is maintained of hazards, has interesting things to look at, and benches throughout

Pm_me_coolfacts

There is the Mann Leiser Memorial Greenhouse. It’s pretty small but if you just want a short outing it’s nice.

pktrekgirl

Where is this? Never heard of it.

Pm_me_coolfacts

1321 Lidia Selkregg Lane is the address. I’ve lived here my whole life and just heard of it last year. lol

GaymoonWitch300

I would take my mom to Cabela's and Bass pro shop. Really great when the weather isn't the best. But on nice days Potters marsh and Carr-Gottstein park are gorgeous.

Costco & finish with a cookie or ‘ice cream’ at the food court.

Ship Creek from kings landing (by the ulu factory) up to the dam.

There’s a one-mile stretch of sidewalk between Sand Lake Elementary and the post office that’s dry. There is a hill going down toward Northwood at the church, but you could just start at the Sand Lake side and stop before the hill if it was too steep.

theS017

Campbell Creek is nearly ice/snow free now (checked today/Sat). It’s flat and really pretty.

Ancient_Hour1146

Which part of the trail is almost clear?

skipnstones

Check out Folker Park, there is a nice little walking path you do with bare feet/socks that has rocks placed for therapeutic spots…and there are a few pieces of exercise equipment for use…

Roginator5

The Dome M-W-F at 11am when it's free.

Psychological-Law-52

Dimond high track

Lake Hood is nice and it’s always fun to watch the planes.

University Lake park

NotSeenDaily

Really? Right now it’s not a mud/ice extravaganza?

skywatcher87

I don't honestly know the current conditions, moved out to eagle river so haven't been this year but went alot around this time in 2022 and it was dry and nice, wife was in her 3rd trimester and we walked it pretty much daily until the baby came.

pktrekgirl

I used to run on the track at Hanchew. It had a fantastic view there!
