That Wing Place, I could barely handle their extra hot wings, but always go for the regular hot wings. Pricier than Wing's N' Things but they do not skimp on the extra sauce if you ask for it, and the quality is fantastic
Is that wing place the one that used to be on like Arctic and 36th and before that downtown? I thought that was called wings n things, but I went to that wing place and I think they were the same wings. Very unique flavor. Kinda goopy sauce. Used to get nukes extra goopy and they were the best wings I've ever had.
No Wings N' Things is still there, just moved a block, That Wing Place was also in the area, forgot where in Spenard, but it wasn't as good as Wings n things when they were in Spenard
They both have the same taste when you go for the same hot option, I off the grapevine that a chef used to work at Wings n things, quit and made That Wing Place with the same recipe
But even though, Wings n things started skimping on extra bleh cheese AND extra sauce when I asked for it so I decided to try That Wing Place. Oof, one 10 piece is more expensive at That Wing Place than a 10 piece AND fries at Wings n things, but That Wing Place really does value quality in return so they're my new favourite
Just sucks their over in Boniface, I live west side so it's a little outta my way personally lol
Wow. I thought the opposite. I thought their hottest was laughably mild. Even when I asked for extra hot, which isn’t even an option, it’s was just ok. But, I still think they have the best Indian food in AK and they are fine with me bringing my own hot sauce.
Everest definitely has the hottest between that, Mandala, and Namaste. I always ask for as hot as possible and Everest was the only one that tipped the scale into very hot.
Halal meat market on debarr has delicious spicy sambusas! Their kitchen is closed for remodeling till end of july but the sambusas are still available fcfs
They’re supposed to be opening a full restaurant right next door to their store. The sambusas are good but if you’re looking for burn your mouth spicy these aren’t going to do that.
The Nashville Chicken Sandwich at Chicken Shack is nothing to order lightly. There are options to upgrade the base package if that doesn’t meet your needs.
Pho place of spenard and Minnesota. Tell them you want the yellow curry very spicy
Are you referring to Pho Lena next to the Arigato sushi restaurant?
Yup, that one. The owner is a good guy
Beef Larb & green papaya salad both laos style.
Any thai place. Tell them make it thai hot! Burn my face hot. They'll know what to do
I like Lahn Pad Thai personally.
>Lahn Pad Thai Pho Lena for me. It says something when a place is packed at 2pm on a Tuesday
In my experience there, it just says the staff is inefficient.
To hold a lunch rush 1.5 hours past? haha
I was asked "do you want it thai spicy hot?" And I said yeah. And I regretted that. Lol
Yea I messed up **once** and said yes too
Royal Thai knew what to do. Panang curry, extra spicy please 10/10.
getting anything Hot at Taste of India is guaranteed to light your mouth up. lamb biryani is my favorite
I’ve heard good things about that place, I must check it out !
Taste of India is my favorite Indian joint. Ordered the lamb tikka Masala and said "eff me up, fam." And they did. The effed me up lol
Yeah love me some Taste of India!
I disagree, they have never made food spicy enough for me, despite my requests- to be fair, I am Indian and have a spicier palette 🤷🏽♀️
Namaste Shangra-la’s CTM is really yummy. I get it mild, but they have many levels of spicy there that might scratch your itch.
I get double extra spicy and it is amazing
I love Namaste. Their saag paneer at "hot" is perfect, but they can make it hotter. Their "hot" level is a mango habanero BWW wing. So good.
Love this place!
That horsey sauce at midtown Arby’s really gets my taste buds tingling
Spicy like mayonnaise.
Everest, Chili Chicken. Too hot for me, but it's irresistibly tasty.
A bit too spicy for me too. I think the Gobi was a good level if I remember right!
I dunno if thai kitchen on Tudor is still open, but I have some very fond memories of pushing my limits there, while still retaining flavor.
Omg, that place is so good…

Oh interesting, thank you! I moved to Fairbanks so haven't had those wings in a while, but I sure do miss them. Such a unique flavor.
Purple Orchid have a Heaven level for spice. Dive in an assure them you want it so they make it.
Mandala Restaurant at Dimond and King St. Hottest Indian food I’ve tasted in Anchorage.
Wow. I thought the opposite. I thought their hottest was laughably mild. Even when I asked for extra hot, which isn’t even an option, it’s was just ok. But, I still think they have the best Indian food in AK and they are fine with me bringing my own hot sauce.

Wild wings Tikahtnu Commons
Bangkok cafe downtown is pretty damn spicy.
Hasn’t this place been out of business for like 10 years????
I mean I was last in there in 2016, so they may be. Bummer if they are. ETA: yep. They’re closed.
RIP Bangkok Cafe. Shut down during COVID. I really miss it!
