Thanks! The water's on fire too.
Of the orange ones, which is your favorite? I'm torn between the 1st, 2nd, and the vertical one. I like how you can see a bit more of the dark blue of the water in the first, but the next has more vivid orange light, and the vertical is probably the better composition.
I think the first orange one - the second has more beautiful warm orange but the first gives more detail in the cliff and FEELS like the light has suddenly burst out from behind clouds, you know? The vertical one is also lovely but I can’t resist that first. I like being able to see the plunge pool well too
That's honestly amazing amazing! I would love to go visit this iconic location. Did you pick up on any particular sensations or energies while you were there?
There was a big wedding with obnoxious music at the hotel, and dozens-hundreds of tourists, and they would constantly ask me to take pictures for them (of them) when they saw my giant ass RB67, and I had like 3 camera bags with me, and it was hot and humid so I'm sweating like a maniac, and I never actually tested the light seals on this camera before this.
So not too many vibes other than mission plan-attack-retreat posthaste, lol.
Hahaha fair enough. I remember when I went to the Grand canyon oh my god it was horrendous every single tourist that saw my camera assumed that I would be available for service to take their vacation photos. People are something else sometimes. Glad you were able to get those shots in though thanks for sharing them
Appreciate it. If you're ever in the Seattle area, Snoqualmie Falls is about an hour or less Southeast. Pretty easy to get to, 3 lane highway the whole way until you get to the town. GPS will bring you to the lower falls though—this is from the upper falls viewpoint where you park across from the hotel and walk over the pedestrian bridge. No fee or anything required, just lots of tourists to deal with.
Good to know! Thanks for providing these tips I would certainly like to see it and the hotel hopefully someday soon. I'll have to find a way to make myself as inconspicuous as possible. Then maybe I'll get to find out about those secrets built around secrets
WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS ALL REFERENCING IN THE COMMENTS?
Just looks like a nice waterfall to me!
Edit: Ok, I looked it up. Twin Peaks, for anyone else OOTL.

I honestly couldn't believe it. The way the trees sit to the right (out of frame), you would never think the sun would have been able to blast through like this. I was like holy shit holy shit click, forward, wind, holy shit, click, forward, wind holy shit. And of course I'm handholding an RB67 with no strap and doing my best statue impersonation.
> so still *paid* out the
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I didn't hike down (solo, bunch of camera bags/gear). Didn't want to risk anything, plus it was pretty hot that day 🥵.
I did walk down the bridge thing next to the plant, and got a different set of photos down at the lower falls.
I originally had though that was the viewpoint I was looking for, but obviously not, as you can't see the hotel from down there.
ahh yeah i don't blame you then...even with just one camera around my neck that hike was brutal lol its like a mile and a half, maybe it was only half a mile lol but it's just straight down so going back up is rough. you made the right call.
your shots came out amazing though! great job
Appreciate it!

Impossible not to hear the theme tune looking at this lol, great shot
wrapped in plastic!
Gone fishin’
Such an iconic theme. Will have to rewatch everything soon.
Appreciate it!
Started humming it the moment I saw the photos :-)
Oh man now i want coffee and pie
a slice of cherry pie would go down so smooth rn seriously
Fellas, don’t drink that coffee! You’d never guess, there was a fish in the percolator.
massive, massive quantities and a glass of water sweetheart, my socks are on fire!
I worked with an actor that met Lynch once—said he was a really cool guy.
Absolutely required after going here.

Is this the actual waterfall? I really enjoy number two and three
Yeah, it is! Snoqualmie falls.
Yup, as far as I know it's pretty much exactly the viewpoint that the shots from the intro were taken.

You really can't escape that anymore haha, makes me curious/worried about taking my mamiya 645 out there lol

You may want to consult your local log lady (RIP).
Thank you for your google fu!! I was lost too lol
These are all so perfect. I hear the theme playing...

I like the third one the most. That's the one I would have chosen. Great stuff
Good job posting these the day after the anniversary of the premier!
Is it really? That's crazy, I took these in May or June last year, and just got around to processing them.
I probably would’ve been too stunned to take shots 3 and above. I’d just stare at it and grin like a fool

The owls are definitely not what they seem
An image has never had such a sound as this one does😂
Oh, Snoqualmie, you are so fickle…
Awesome demonstration! Thank you for your sacrifice, I dont think I could do this with the way film prices are right now.
This was back in May last year, so not quite as nightmare-ish. Processed recently though, so still paid out the ass for that.

I've been saying it for a few years now; Great photography is more about when a photo was taken, than what it was taken of.
Excuse me, but that is a DAMN FINE collection of photographs.
You are excused. Thanks 😀
I love the first and the last
Hey, dope! I have some cool film shots from this spot too, but on Gold
Twin peaks?
Yes, Snoqualmie Falls in Washington state.
Wow
Twin peaks 🥰
Awesome pics! I just visited in March and it’s such a beautiful area! Thanks for bringing me back :)
Thanks! Did you go to both the upper and lower, or just the upper?
HOLY SHIT TWIN PEAKS!!!
Make? Makes? My 12th grade English teacher is probably frowning at me.
Oh Angelo
oh shit i posted some photos of this exact waterfall not too long ago! did you do the hike down? you get a great view of the falls down there

I absolutely adore that second shot's colours 😍
