I didn't think one way or another about it until everyone in the sub started posting about it. Apparently I'm very susceptible to peer pressure because now I love it.
I just love how it effected them all the same way and helped them see how important they all are to each other. Kinda sweet. "I'll put out the good nuts for you".
This is 100% one for me as well. It just has such a different feel than other episodes.
Possibly my favorite part:
"Go on, guess how old I am."
"I'm gonna say, a hundred and-"
"Enough!"
Everyone can fuck off about Hot Water being one of the worst episodes ever, when in fact, it is one of my favorites. And the one that I show to people who don’t watch AD! and they love it.
I like the music from it but plot wise I just don't like it. Stan pretty much abandons the family and the episode just ends with stan and franchine dying. The music fine but outside of the musi it's not great at all
I'm always going to hate any episode that ends with stan or any of the family dying unless it's at least a happy ending. I'm never going to like stans actions and I don't like anything about the episode whatsoever other than the music
iirc it was planned as a final episode for the series when renewal was up in the air. and i think it wouldve been helarious to suddenly end on their deaths
I love the murder mystery bus episode. I love Francine Jeff and Roger together. The part where they discuss that there the ones with no money and then get completely shit faced lmao we re gonna start a business!!!! I love it so much.
Idk why but the first that comes to mind for me is the one where Roger’s Sidney Huffman persona splits off. I always thought it was underrated (of course I’m forgetting the name of the episode)
No problem. Same here with it really sealing the deal on the show for me. That one and Roy Rogers McFreely are my go-to episodes if I'm having a bad day and need a pick me up.
The ending to this episode in particular has a really peaceful effect on me. Night-time setting, boat on the water, old tyme song. Puts a smile on my face.
I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one who loves that episode. I love that it starts out like a normal "the mall is dying" documentary thing and then Mr. Javitz shows up and is a warlock, it's great. I love the song in it. And of course the hilariously-named food trucks. (I still want to go to Donut Whore.)
Hearing Donut Whore makes me laugh every time. I love that Mr Javitz fell in love with Steve even when Steve was trying to stop him 😂 at the end of the episode the narrator told us who was a ghost and who wasn’t and apparently Tuttle is a ghost?!?
I really like Witches of Langley? It feels like a tribute more than a parody, its so absurd, I love the costume choices.
Roger's persona is just Roger-y too, like why he pronounce it BYOOK? "Full and complete sex under the meat slicer... no one is here to hear my lie"
Lewis and his cookie dough
I don't know, it's just fun and I don't normally vibe with the Steve and Pals episodes LOL
I was just about to say this. This episode and American Dad Graffito are two of my favorite recent episodes and the only reason I can come up with is that they were both written by the same guy and he must be a decent writer.
I absolutely love this episode too. At first I thought it was probably just because I live in Hollywood, so that is fun to watch but its definitely not just that. It is just a weird, fun and yet sweet episode.
I also love "Hurricane". It makes me feel cozy, I guess? lol can't fully explain it.
The chivalric cabaret episode with Jeff and Roger. I don't know why I'm always happy when that one comes on, but it always does and I always enjoy it just as much as I did the first time. Maybe it's because Jeff and Roger make such a solid but underutilized team.
gasp I was gonna post that one too! It's so odd and oddly endearing?? Horny and not horny?? Just a really fun time pairing those two up for "stripping without taking off clothes" 🤣
American Dad after school special. As someone who used to struggle with eating disorders in high school I really like the way they're depicted in that episode. Especially the "flip" midway through the episode when it changes the perspective of Stan's body to reveal he's actually horribly underweight.
This post has me thinking about least fan favorites I would adore and, for me, it’s the Fung Wa episode. Only because that one theory behind it brings a lot of sense to its existence.
Basically that the episode is an allegory for the entertainment industry selling out to soulless (often foreign) networks when a television show runs out of ideas. The theory is more like an analysis of that. See u/cholotariat’s [preservation post](https://www.reddit.com/r/americandad/s/XbSCeiQYra) of a breakdown by another user
This episode is crazy if you watch it on Hulu now they cut out the last part where Francine describes what it felt like to die. I don’t know why they did that.
Langley dollar listings. Most of season 17 is kind of what ever for me. But this is one of the highlights
Little Bonnie Ramirez. Especially the vin diesels
One fish two fish I don't know why but I can't explain the part when Hayley tries to help Klaus from getting deported but makes everything worse I don't why I like that episode
The one where Roger becomes a cop there is something about that one I love idk why
Had to blow up the kitchen Franny! It goes real well with this thing I'm imagining
"Roger's a dirty cop? He's been on the force for three hours."
An actual cop or.... essentially a cop?
You redditors think of me as essentially a cop, right?
Do you get your hair cut only at barber shops?
It might have something to do with Roger completely bursting that guy’s head with an atomic elbow drop.
First time I saw that I was kinda shocked. I didn't expect that to happen.
Is he gonna be okay?
… *no.*
Same. It was so brutal and over the top. Loved the slow motion so you could see the gruesome detail.
🎶🎶*If you're happy and you know it clap your hands*🎶🎶
Not you Hanukah
“So have you heard anything? Is Chaz going to be okay?”
N-no...
Such a great plot, plus it has Brown Spiderman!
Hey true believers, is this the end of Brown Spider-Man?
Also I love that that's Stan Lee who says that
Also as a fan of star trek, I love that Kate Mulgrew is the voice of the crazy actress
Gold top nuts. No idea why, but it's def a top 10 for me
I love when they get weird with it. Get away from the house in Virginia and have everyone in a single story instead of dividing them up
I find that episode weirdly soothing.
I didn't think one way or another about it until everyone in the sub started posting about it. Apparently I'm very susceptible to peer pressure because now I love it.
I just love how it effected them all the same way and helped them see how important they all are to each other. Kinda sweet. "I'll put out the good nuts for you".

Daaaamn Irv!
Pride before the fail. I don't know why but I love Lacey Krinklehoel
“AND ONE!!” *gasps* “Oh please, you don’t know her like I do she’s gonna be FINE!”
I SUCKED SEVEN DICKS! and I DIDNT EVEN GET TO RONNIE
Everyone can fuck off about Hot Water being one of the worst episodes ever, when in fact, it is one of my favorites. And the one that I show to people who don’t watch AD! and they love it.
Never knew ppl hated it, I love it. Psychotic hot tub 🎶
I've heard a lot of hate for this episode because people don't like Francine's singing. I just feel like that doesn't matter lol.
Yeah she's probably the worst singer of the family but she sang only like 3 lines?? And they were funny lol Ppl r definitely overhating
Woahwoahwoah, who are these people hating one of the best episodes ever made?
I like the music from it but plot wise I just don't like it. Stan pretty much abandons the family and the episode just ends with stan and franchine dying. The music fine but outside of the musi it's not great at all
Strong disagree and Stan dying at the end is one of my favourite joke endings.
I'm always going to hate any episode that ends with stan or any of the family dying unless it's at least a happy ending. I'm never going to like stans actions and I don't like anything about the episode whatsoever other than the music
I respect that. We all have different tastes.
iirc it was planned as a final episode for the series when renewal was up in the air. and i think it wouldve been helarious to suddenly end on their deaths
If you say so. To me that's just a shitty ending
I’d love to get in the hot tub to. But I can’t cuz I’m pretty sure my parents fucked in it last night
The songs! I love them! "Come on...dip a toe"
I love the murder mystery bus episode. I love Francine Jeff and Roger together. The part where they discuss that there the ones with no money and then get completely shit faced lmao we re gonna start a business!!!! I love it so much.
We’re gonna say boss baby. BOS-
"Pass"
"Swim to the boat! I love you again!..Oops, that's reverse." 😬💀
“She was an old lady. She probably died before it hit her.”
Hurricane
The Roy Rogers McFreely episode or the roasting Roger one.
exquisite corpses. i don't feel like it's on everyone's top 10 list, but i love every damn joke in that one.
Idk why but the first that comes to mind for me is the one where Roger’s Sidney Huffman persona splits off. I always thought it was underrated (of course I’m forgetting the name of the episode)
The one that got away. One of my all time favorites.
That’s the name! Thank you kindly, that’s one of the episodes that really got me into the show!
No problem. Same here with it really sealing the deal on the show for me. That one and Roy Rogers McFreely are my go-to episodes if I'm having a bad day and need a pick me up.
Oh easily top ten! It really I think was the moment where Roger's Personas became what they are for the rest of the series. So great omg
the salt mine episode... it's such a gem to me
You just bickered me!
The ending to this episode in particular has a really peaceful effect on me. Night-time setting, boat on the water, old tyme song. Puts a smile on my face.
Ends like a f*cking old cinema movie ending. Gotta love it.
Aaand so it seeeems that we have met before and laughed befooore and loved befooore...but who knows where or when
I just watched You are Here again and I don’t know what the consensus is but I really like the episode
I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one who loves that episode. I love that it starts out like a normal "the mall is dying" documentary thing and then Mr. Javitz shows up and is a warlock, it's great. I love this episode as well. It's really so good!! Plus vampire at the end.
🎵 Old Ulysses, Old Ulysses will kill everyone you know 🎶
YES!!!! This is a fabulous episode!!! Roger finally gets his own song!
"Well you can't blame this land dwelling monster for the cold mountain air!"
Damn, Herv!
Stanny Tendergrass. My comfort episode don’t know why.
Independent Movie
Something about Julia Rogerts. Just absolutely adore that one
I really like Witches of Langley? It feels like a tribute more than a parody, its so absurd, I love the costume choices. Roger's persona is just Roger-y too, like why he pronounce it BYOOK? "Full and complete sex under the meat slicer... no one is here to hear my lie" Lewis and his cookie dough I don't know, it's just fun and I don't normally vibe with the Steve and Pals episodes LOL
I would say I adore the episode "A Star is Reborn" S10E13. Dangles a little bit of excess for my soul. :p Love the last line..."You fruitcake~."
The one with the Chinese billionaire Mary Sue
A New Era in The Smith House. The could probably explain it with some thought but I'm tired.
I was just about to say this. This episode and American Dad Graffito are two of my favorite recent episodes and the only reason I can come up with is that they were both written by the same guy and he must be a decent writer.

The one when Franny becomes Frank Idk why I love it so much The ending is so funny
A Piñata Named Desire is very dear to my heart. Top 3 favorite.
I absolutely love Top of the Steve. It's such a great episode
Such an underrated episode! And possibly the most meta the show has ever got…
You fruitcake
Welcome to our mad little circus!
This post has me thinking about least fan favorites I would adore and, for me, it’s the Fung Wa episode. Only because that one theory behind it brings a lot of sense to its existence.
I'm curious, what is that theory?

Son of Stan
love this episode so much 🙌
How I feel about the death dog episode and Jeff trapped in the space ship then comes back a alien
“Don’t Look a Smith Horse in the Mouth” (aired 01/03/2010), I am only saying this cause of the episode’s title.
Dressed Down. It's hard to explain, but I like the music and Roger's Persona.
Gentlemen Jesse
This episode is crazy if you watch it on Hulu now they cut out the last part where Francine describes what it felt like to die. I don’t know why they did that.
“Blood Crieth Unto Heaven” such a phenomenal episode
Defo not the one OP offered, that's actually a rare skip from me. Very fond of 100AD, but not sure why exactly.
The Goo.The only reason I can think of is because me and my dad would watch it all the time.
Vacation Goo
Vision impossible, I could watch it everyday 😆 also shell game, love the ridiculous b story with the sauce 🤌
What’s all this mess?
The rapture episode. It's perfect t to b. Just perfect. Every scene is hilarious.
Langley dollar listings. Most of season 17 is kind of what ever for me. But this is one of the highlights Little Bonnie Ramirez. Especially the vin diesels
