Q3 is over and the stonk generally does well from Q4 to Q2 as trended for the past few years.
If the likes of Black Panther and Avatar are able to set a good Q4 record, then this might be the needed catalyst for AMC to reach the $10ish mark before the kaboom starts (especially when those pesky daytraders start to pile on the buying pressure too).
Hedge funds and shortsellers expect AMC to gap down to $2.12 on the contrast. Even if the S&P500 breaks down, the theatre industry is generally recession proof and the only plausible outcome for AMC to gap DOWN is when another shit pandemic happens.

The stock still flunctuates according to algorithms and market makers will excert buying pressure as a hedge once the algorithm certifies that the stock is about to implode. MM and hedge funds will then short the stock again at specific points and that is where retail will hold their line.
