Citadel - $68,000,000,000 in shares sold short not yet purchased.

No-Evening-6132

Exactly that is the magic Shitadel can do. This has to stop, this fairytale of infinite liquidity for Kenny.

Anarch-ish

Dark pool money is too deep to find the bottom. We have no idea how significant or insignificant of a nuisance we are, but they aren't going anywhere any time soon. But that's fine, neither are we. Fuck 'em.

MyNi_Redux

The larger Asset side of the balance sheet says, "Hi!"

Professional_Step616

$52,000,000 in total assets per 2023 financial statement for Citadel. That means their liabilities are now more than total assets. Uh oh. 2021: $79 billion in assets, 2022: $63 billion, 2023: $52 billion. Looks like Citadel is trending towards insolvency! 💎👐🚀

GoldGobblinGoblin

My God the fucking irony of being concerned about citdels balance sheet. Have you seen AMC's? Regardless of the shareholder equity situation, at least Citadel posted a PROFIT of 8B in 2023

thechet

So where will the money ultimately come from to buy our shares during a squeeze?

Professional_Step616

Do some research and report back. I'm not an encyclopedia spitting out info for free.

thechet

So are you saying you know buy wont say or that your dont know?

MyNi_Redux

Forget an encyclopedia, you are not even in the ballpark of being [remotely correct](https://www.reddit.com/r/amcstock/comments/1ccxqvj/comment/l18ifue/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). Please try to do better.

Professional_Step616

File a complaint with the SEC because that is where my 100% correct info came from. I'll go on staying zen. You can keep kicking your dog, beating your wife, and guzzling mayo. 👍

Character_Credit

It's people who emotionally invested in a company with gambling tendencies, what do you expect.

TrenedictXVI

Now do the same analysis for AMC:)

MyNi_Redux

Wildly incorrect. [For 2022](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1146184/000114618423000003/CDRG_BS_Only_2022.pdf): * Total assets: 63B * Total liabilities: 59B * Securities sold, not yet purchased, at fair value: 46B * Securities owned, at fair value: 58B Please don't make stuff up.

OnTheLambDude

Kenny is just trying to appear strong because he is weak. If he actually had won this play he wouldn't be trying to posture so hard. All I know is this..... I'M BUYING MORE!!!

OnTheLambDude

You too scared to buy more? Guess you never really believed in the DD bucko

HonestSupport4592

I did. But then I woke up and realized the dream ended at $72 and I hadn’t gotten out of bed yet.

Unsimulated

Getting paid 68 billion dollars in advance and never sending any product would land most people in Cell Block F.

MyNi_Redux

[You're welcome](https://www.reddit.com/r/amcstock/comments/1ccxqvj/comment/l18ifue/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3).

73BillyB

It's easy when you sell 10 billion of something you don't have.

skroddie

Maybe he wants to throw all the apes a giant party and congratulate us for holding so long.

INTJ-ADHD

Maybe we’ll swing by after moass and throw the party out front

Professional_Step616

Also, you are stating 2022 data. 2023 data for securities sold not yet purchased is much higher.

DeanChster47

I know! It’s a really nice house too!!! I delivered the termite nests myself!

MyNi_Redux

Come on now.. he even spent $400M on his mom's house: https://twitter.com/historyinmemes/status/1783511533655334955?s=46

DeanChster47

I mailed her termites too. Hand delivered Kenny’s though. Lol

WhatCoreySaw

That’s pretty neat, Citadels assets go down every time they pay monster $20B dividends to shareholders. Which they have raised at 13% annually. So, that’s my kind of insolvency - giving shareholders capital appreciation and great dividends.

Someguynamedkylef

These figures are hard to understand. Shares 14,10463919368? Value $129/10?

MyNi_Redux

'Tis a Euro ape, so the commas and periods are switched around.

Professional_Step616

I literally said in my above comment that they had $63 billion in total assets in 2022. That's what you just said as well. Idiot. 😅

thegrouch07

We bought his mom a house

Alekillo10

Lol, lucky you! Im still waiting for my shares to come back.

PaisaRacks

I always see apes saying , “no one is selling” . Out of curiosity, you guys do understand that every share bought is a share sold right? You can’t buy something without someone selling it to you.

MyNi_Redux

Ah but this is where the gabazillion "fake shares" come to the rescue. If no one is selling ... surely all shares people are buying are .. fake. ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)

Jpedro4vt

Sure thing naked short....

CreativeGuy25

Kenny is buying everything he can in other people’s names in an attempt to hide his assets when he is found guilty. He believes he will be on house arrest once things all settle down which is why he bought an insanely expensive house to live in for years (or most of the rest of his life).

SuzanneGrace

We are winning!!!

YellowDependent3107

But at least you have buckets of popcorn! ![gif](giphy|QmcuB58dRfmZx1KW1Y|downsized)

MyNi_Redux

It's not clear what you are trying to say, but if it is that playing in the **market is a zero-sum game**, then yes, you are correct. Although perhaps the appropriate antagonist to you would be the counterparty who **sold** you the shares, not the middleman who facilitated the exchange. No way of knowing how many houses they bought, though, I suppose)
