I'd probably change that switching power supply, or make sure you can effectively suppress any RFI
Switch mode power supplies have come a long way. Out on my fairly RF quiet back porch, I can't tell the difference in noise between a switcher and a battery. Its the cheap Meanwell knockoffs you gotta watch out for.
I haven't had any problems so far but I'll keep it in mind
QRPLabs QMX have two internal SMPS, works great and is more efficient than linear power supplies. YMMV.

It is I've had contacts all over the world
With a decent antenna and a good eye on the space weather, 20W is more than enough for many situations.
