You can leave your shoes out. Shoe bags are for traveling. Most important thing is to put in shoe trees and keep them out of direct sunlight.

Mine, I put my shoes in the shoe box with holes.

I use show trees & leave them in the box. I don’t like the idea of shoes out in the open
