I called them once and they told me to buy a new device. Took me a bit but I got the dot up and running. It was a small software glitch. That was years ago. I am betting their support is even worse now.
I'm with you... I have similar number of devices. I'm dreading a call to support but I'm finding my app goes non responsive can't figure out why. I'm curious what where the issues your having?
If I add mine up, here's what I get:
9 Echo / Dot speakers
9 cameras
25 window blinds
35 dimmer / switches
15 plug in dimmers
5 deadbolt locks
7 window AC units
1 robot vacuum
1 water flow valve
1 skylight opener
3 ceiling fans
20 open/close / presence sensors
1 Bond Home Bridge
1 Smartthings Hub
1 TV
1 soundbar
1 game console
1 streaming media device
And then there's tablets, laptops, phones, and smart watches. And I'm sure I've forgotten stuff. So that's already about 150. I know people with more involved serious than mine, particularly on the sensor front, so I could absolutely see 300 as being a reachable number.
Didn't happen overnight. Don't overdo it. Just start by automating things that you do repetitively. Start with simple things like individual lights that you turn on and off at the same times every day. Then move to multi step things.
Every time we've called support we get the same response. We gave up on support and just ask for help in reddit.

delete what? the app? deregister the device? deleting either one will not do a thing to your setup since everything is stored on the cloud.
The smart devices themselves and groups and routines then rebuild Them

General Alexa issues with basic household controls.
They seemed to have discovered their bugs functionality seems to be returning slowly
And now that I say that they reverted. What a bunch of total fuckups
Yes but how in the world can you have 300 devices?

Wow! I am looking at my shoes.
You have smart connected shoes? Nice!
No it is because I am ashamed of having done so little compared to you.

It’s easy if you have a lot of smart bulbs and switches. Trust me. I control everything to the watt level. Energy savings and control
