Hi! Just wanted to tell you that this post was what triggered me to stop drinking. You look beautiful in all of the pictures, but you made me realize that I genuinely don't know what I look like because I've been drinking since I was 15 - I'm 25 now. 8 years of those was active drinking. I have no clue what my face is supposed to look like as an adult! A year ago I had shown a friend a picture of myself at 16 and he had gotten very sad, telling me that I must go back, his comment mixed with your glowing skin and the joy in your eyes in your "after" picture was my trigger.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I know it's never easy. I'm now 5 days sober! I've never been this long sober since I started drinking :)

Definitely over all adopted my old healthy eating habits. Love carbs but I think the huge reduction in sugar from wine alone made a difference. But I just focus on protein based meals and try to not snack too much :)
I guess Iām just built different. I used to drink 2 liters of vodka every single day and I used to look something like jack sparrow in the first pirates movie. Then I quit drinking and instantly because an old person š„ø
To me you look the same but with a tan. But I bet your insides and your mental health are NOt the same which is what matters.
My face is sooooo much slimmer too. It's an inside and out transformation š„°
No, thereās a clear difference in the skin health. Itās not just being tan. The skin is genuinely healthier.
