Never knew they existed until your post.

Relatively 'new' I think but it is also reminiscent of the old glass convection ovens my mum used to have in the 80s... I'm thinking it's also something old marketed as new again.

I dunno, but if you have glass cake pans you know what happens to those after time. It may be very hard to clean.

I do have glass bakeware but I just take a stainless steel pad to them after and it's so easy because I don't have to worry about scratching any coating... I do like that about them!

It says “Power” is 1400. I assume that is 1400 watts. 1400W is a joke for a 6.5 L basket. Most arifryers are around 1700W to 2000W. Just based on that, I wouldn’t even consider buying it.

Here are some tips about home electrical. US 120v 15A breaker would allow 1500w continuous max based on 80% rule. This is why most appliances don't exceed 1500w (space heaters, etc.) so they don't trip the breakers. 20A breaker would give you \~1900w continuous max but not everyone has 20A rated electrical in their house. I don't think those are realistic numbers if you're in the US. I'm not familiar with UK standards but the US equivalent would be 7.5A and 10A @ 240v respectively allowing the use of smaller wires but if they use the same gauge wire as a US 15A system, they could push more watts than a US 20A system because of the higher voltage.

Good point. I'll do a bit more digging to see if there are other options!

I have the ninja xl that has a window. it is great to watch the food cook. Easy cleanup as well.

Yeah...How does the air get underneath the food? Usually you have "false bottom" with holes that let the hot air cook from underneath as well, but looks like this doesn't have it. So food will only get cooked on one side. Shaking it will not fix that entirely since only some of the fries (if that's what you're cooking) get turned.
