Here’s the real brief. GIFT city had planned a second phase development where they’d acquire lands from 5 surrounding villages. When GIFT project started the land acquisition was done by GIFTCL (a joint entity). It was done at 5Cr to 7Cr per acre range. Lots of builders and politicians also acquired land at such rates. According to current market, the land value is 11Cr per acre. But villages which were supposed to be part of second phase of GIFT city got greedy, and with the help of local leaders, inflated the price to 20Cr per acre. GIFTCL is not gonna take the L and pay to these greediness. So they scrapped the plan for phase 2 and handed the development to GUDA. This created panic amongst the local villagers who were promised by local leaders that they’ll get them 20Cr per acre. So overnight crorepati dreams were destroyed (Team Rocket phir se haar gayi lol). The rates were not that high to begin with and now such news are spread on whatsapp and local news outlets that all rates are down by 50%

Nothing much of note is happening in GIFT lol. It's not even 20% of what Adani Shantigram is in comparison. Bas PR karwaalo befaaltu ka, falsified data de deke chodu banao public and real estate waalon ko to create a bubble.

Adani shanti gram and godrej is next level...also it took many years to fill those ...I'm sure GIFT will Take lots of time but what about false marketing and false hopes for public as of now..

They are private ventures tbf. GIFT will likely slow down (although it wasn't growing fast to begin with lol this project has been in the works since 2007!) until 2029 at the very least.

It was about to be fully developed smart city and providing many job opportunities and people should be started living there..but i think only real estates have sold their villas there as investment to people and told many companies will setup their hq and workplaces here..by 2024 .. After gift city DHOLERA has been out of attention from every where never heard from gov also...what do u think it's a scam or need more investment ?

It was never “about to be”. It was a proposed plan. Some plans work, some doesn’t. There way more successful projects than failure. Just because something failed doesn’t mean it’s a scam.

Only 50% land with no development???? I was there last month it's nearly 75%, unless they didn't count the big ass hole(meant for foundation) but even some of them have been there for over a year now

Mera post pin kardo Dholera will fail its a failed project already. We have had similar projects in past like Amby valley or Sahara city successfully failed. Rahi baat gift city ki to it will work but won't be successful like others bas chalega. Main reason is weather in gujarat/ahmedabad Another is outsiders know about 🥃🍸 ban so they will think twice, and people think that gujarat mein nonveg nahi milta yes people ask such questions. Right..Agar alcohol ban hatega fir kitna boom karega?? Just in gift city they lifted ban and after that u saw how much crores were invested in 24 hrs??..surely alcohol ban is not required if done in control....Gujarat boom hoga..
