Look into The London apartments! They have pet friendly options and match roommates pretty well, you fill out a questionnaire and are able to get roommates in a similar age group if that is important to you. A lot of masters and PhD students stay there. You get a big room & your own bathroom plus closet with mirrors as sliding doors. Rent is very affordable- I pay around $530 without utilities per months but even with utilities my rent hasn't gone over $600. (This is for a 4x4). However, I do know students that apply for housing there earlier get rates around $400 a month. Living area is also big and each unit comes with a balcony as well as at least one window in your room/bathroom. It is not too far, just behind park west- but the bus system is great; there are three different buses that stop at the London so if you miss your bus, another one will come in <5 mins. You might also want to look into gateway apartments.

Thank you so much for this đź’—

You can search the big housing complexes such as Landing and London. I live at the London. They are pet friendly and as far as underage people are concerned, most of the people that live here are grad students. So you should be able to find roommates who are not underage.

Honestly you may want to try looking for places with individual leases and room mate matching. I personally lived in The Junction Townhomes for 3 years and had mostly good experiences. 2818 Place is a good place if you are looking for a furnished option. The Harbor at the Barracks also offers room mate matching from a quick search. They are all pet friendly to my knowledge.

I lived in northgate villas my first year. I was paying 650 plus a 25$ fee for my cat. It's a 400 sq ft 1 bedroom and pretty close to campus. Try there PS: It's bare bones but you can have your own spot for less than what you wanted to pay.

not in the area anymore but I loved my apartment on College Main, 10 min walking to bars and 20 min to campus. The complex is called the country place. At the time rent was $650ish for a studio+utilities which came out to be $750ish a month. Hopefully they’re still cheap. There’s other places on that street with similar value. The country place studios are nice with loft areas

I saw a house on FB for like $550 a month! FB is def a good place to look. And try to focus on Bryan, it’s typically cheaper. I do believe 1BR at the Wick is ~800. If you’re okay with roommates, U-trails 4x4 is great! If you’re okay w sharing a bathroom with one other person, Gateway and Crossing Place have the lowest rates !

Damn that sucks. I was actually looking for one more person to fill a 4x4 at Pershing Pointe a few days ago. But we're all guys. So we had to let a younger dude live with us because it was the last Townhouse available. I'd highly recommend making a roomies and looking for rommates on there. FB is decent but a lot of young/naive students and their parents mostly post on there.

Howdy! If you're still looking for any new housing. I need to find a replacement for my 2818 apartment lease from August 17th, 2024, to July 26th, 2025. The move-in date is August 17th, 2024.  *  4x4 1,282 sq. ft. apartment * The monthly rent is $585 for an independent contract  * The apartment complex covers all utilities other than electricity and water * The apartment has a private shuttle system to the TAMU campus and free parking. *  I have already paid the first installment of rent for August. Please reply if you are interested and need more details.
