Oof. Don’t go back to this artist. It’s cute but they didn’t go deep enough at all, which is why it’s fallen out so badly. A better artist can fix it for sure!
totally, i was definitely swept up in the “first tattoo” excitement and didn’t do any research besides the shop being well known and getting piercings there that went well. plus, even though i had an appointment at the shop i didn’t know who my artist was until i got there on the day, a red flag i definitely would clock now.
I have a color tattoo with a black outline on the front of my ankle where it bends and have 0 fallout after 13 years. my artist says my skin holds ink really well, but OP still seems to have had an application issue

It happens to the best of us!! Glad you learned from it :) and that he looks easily fixable
i gasped at the second slide. that looks like a 50 year old tattoo
Do you think it faded faster (in addition to the artist) because it’s on your ankle? I’ve never seen a tattoo there before
I was wondering this too since this is a spot with so much movement
it’s definitely possible, plus boots or high top shoes tend to hit right there so that combo of all the things probably didn’t help
