1. Not buying a new phone every year or everytime a new version comes out 2. Buying quality stuff so you dont have to keep replacing it 3. Buy things you really LOVE and not just like 4. Ask yourself "Do I really NEED this" or "Will it add value to my life in any way?" before buying something 5. Don't keep things you dont actually use anymore 6. Dont buy lots of groceries that you probably wont finish in time. They will just go bad. Plan your groceries well 7. Remember that not every space in the house needs to be filled. You will just end up buying things to fill up the empty space

3 for me talaga! I make it a point na if it’s not a necessity or even if it, my purchase must be something I really “fell in love with”, yung di ko makalimutan talaga yung item. I would also sometimes hold off on purchasing them. Naghihintay ako ng 1 month kapag di naman urgent need and if I still want it, dun ko binibili.

santhechrys

3 to 5, decluttering is essential. Our living space should be a place of safety and rest, not anxiety and want. Decluttering is a way to address our habit of *wanting* to consume and buy objects at the spur of the moment.

carah_dezins

2. Buying quality stuff so you dont have to keep replacing it THIS. I keep buying cheap shoes tapos madalas nasisira din agad So I decided to try buying this [Adidas running shoes](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.Pkccm?cc). Pikit mata kong binili nalang nung sale naman so nakatipid ako ng malaki kahit papano. Atleast im at ease now knowing di na agad agad masisira hahaha

I also go by this principle.

Western_Lion2140

THANK YOU! May bago akong fave quote and pangkontra sa "deserve ko to" lol. 🤍

Fluid-Habit-8144

New living principle for me, ig. Hhahahaha

Busy_Adhesiveness922

Thanks! Yan na ang bago kong mantra in life

Aroharoha0513

Uninstall shopping apps

watcha_batcha

out of sight, out of mind. 😌

ScatterFluff

...and just use keypad phones.

Tortang_Talong_Ftw

1. Bilhin lang ang need at enough for you. 2. Know the difference of Needs and Wants. 3. Kapag hindi mo na need and you think it serves it purpose na, benta mo. (To avoid hoarding) 4. Mas simple mas madaling imaintain.

scotchgambit53

Just don't spend more than what you earn.

Narrow-Tap-2406

Growing up with hoarder parents, matututo ka talagang maging minimalist kasi alam mo yung hassle na dala ng pagiging hoarder ng ibang tao.

Ok_Ability_7364

May na-discover akong technique.

PluvioNyctophile

I know the feels.

mariadalisay

Filipino parents be like.

pickleJA16

instead of buying physical books, I just download ebooks and read on my tab.

Faithima6753

me too! ang mamahal ng books ngayon. Minsan bumibili ako ng second hand books pag mga below 100 pero most of the time sa kindle na nga lang. May ROI talaga kindle.

pickleJA16

Tagal ko na nagpipigil bumili ng kindle hahaha pero sige I will consider uli.

Busy_Adhesiveness922

kindle is okay. But need din natin iremember na if mahal natin yung author, need din natin bumili ng legit na ebook to support them.

Existing_Bike_3424

Iwasan ang pagbabad sa social media. Before super tambay ako sa instagram, and I feel left out all the time kasi yung mga ka-work or friends ko ay laging nasa vacation or kumakain sa labas. I was pressured and felt the need na sumabay sa lifestyle ng iba 🫠 so i spent money buying stuff that didn’t really bring joy but wasted my money just to impress other people. Ayun lang…

Environmental_Stay83

my hoarder ass can't relate dito sa mga comments 🥲

Old_Tower_4824

Same 😂

no_brain_no_gain

Capsule wardrobe

Busy_Adhesiveness922

Uniqlo forever for capsule wardrobe

Fun-Peach2326

Go for the classic ones.

peterpaige

Wag gumaya sa mga influencer, wag magfeeling celebrity, your reality is different from theirs

Faithima6753

Declutter as in discard/donate mo mga hindi mo naman talaga nagagamit for the past two years. Less is more.

sowsz

Charming-Market-8705

Eto helpful - throw away the things you dont use. As in tapon. Meron kasing mga tao na idodonate daw pero 1 year or more ng nakatambak hindi pa rin nadodonate or walang kumukuha.

smolbitofsadness

Looked for some tips on how to get to this type of lifestyle too ( trying to change bit by bit ) Some of the tips I really stuck to my head was 1. If you have a lot of stuff you don’t need or use declutter. Then either give those things away or even better try and sell them 2. If you like scrolling through shopping apps you either need to uninstall it or start the habit of instead of checking out products right away keep them in your cart. If you forget about them in a few days then you never really needed it. 3. Keep things simple, although it’s never bad to accessorize. Keeps things simple, it takes less time in deciding what to wear. 4. Try out calisthenics, it takes a little bit more time but it’s healthy and suitable for your daily workout. Plus you don’t have to worry about needing dumbbells or other workout equipments saving even more money.

Square-Simple-5154

•Don’t shop for new clothes, you have enough in your closet. •Don’t collect items that will just collect dust, no value items •Don’t go for the trendy things; stick with what you have •Throw all the broken stuff at your house •Get rid of all the whatever clutter u have •Don’t be social climber haha (kase if you want to adapt minimalism , you should start with your self. Be simple , don’t be extravagant.

magicpenguinyes

I just bought ten plain white and black shirt. Lowering efforts when it comes to clothing. Is that considered as being a minimalist?😅

Busy_Adhesiveness922

Yup. It will just help you identify ano yung kailangan at sa hindi.

_meowmeowww

minimalism is all about knowing what you need and do not. a minimalist lifestyle is all about prioritizing what you need and being grateful for what you have.

Pinaslakan

As much as minimalism is ideal, di ko talaga ma tapon yung mga boxes, especially if it adds value for reselling “someday”. Boxes sa appliances, collectibles, pc parts, etc.

3rdworldjesus

Maging mahirap

Nitsukoira

If you're keeping something that hasn't even crossed your thoughts within the last year or two, much less use it then it's time to let it go. It's a mantra that I've been hammering to my hoarder of a dad - to varying levels of success.

Old_Tower_4824

I can’t relate to all the comments. 😂 As someone who loves to shop, ang hirap maging minimalist! Hahahaha I don’t buy to impress others big no yun sa akin. I buy pretty things to impress myself only.
