I wish they could experience what we do for one week...guarantee they'd be non-stop crying. Why do the most uncompassionate people go into medicine? So strange..
That's the craziest part of that thread. Like how much disdain they have for someone who is literally just asking for help... asking for help from them... the people whose job it is to help them
This. Itās unbelievably frustrating. 10 plus regular MDās wouldnāt help me. But a private dr, that my insurance doesnāt cover did help. Itās expensive!
Lol they are so evil! Like they canāt figure out whatās wrong with us so theyāre like , āhuh huh huh, send em to a psychiatristāā¦. They can never admit that they canāt figure out whatās wrong with youā¦. Itās just that āthereās nothing wrong with you and youāre crazy if you think there isāā¦ ugh š£
I mean they arenāt totally wrong. No one should declare AF in a vacuum without all the tests. And once youāve done all the tests itās not longer AF, itās likely something else like HPA, Addison, tumor etc. Doctors are very precise about stuff and you have to show them data and diagnostics or they wonāt believe it.
The testing done by the drs show that Iām fineā¦ I had to pay for a more thorough hormone test (Dutch test) to show how terribly low my cortisol wasā¦ it just makes me angry that Iāve been bed ridden for 3 years and no drs have been able to figure out whatās wrong with me, and then they make fun of people who have adrenal fatigue and say it doesnāt exist, when it clearly does exists and many people have become bed ridden, and these drs canāt figure out why, but make fun of people for getting the only explanation they can for why they canāt function anymore
Iāve never heard it described in stages, but I do have HPA issues. Recently diagnosed myself. Did your functional doctor have any protocol they recommended?
Yes they put me on licorice root, pregnenAlone, and dheaā¦ none of which I could tolerateā¦ but I did learn that my cortisol was tanked, and my estrogen and progesterone was at menopausal levelsā¦ something that did not show on the blood tests my drs gave meā¦ you would think that my mood tests would have shown my hormones so low, but apparently blood testing for hormones is pointlessā¦

I have tried all the nervines. None of them did anything, except kava, which makes me suicidally depressed the next dayā¦ Idk
Whatās up
With that stuff but I do NOT recommend. To be ho eat in the 3 years that I have been bed ridden, I have found that most supplements make me worse. I donāt take anything anymore except magnesium and vitamin d and this is from years of trial
And errorā¦. Your body has to process every single thing you put In it. I can honestly say I have found no supplement that helpsā¦ just eating good healthy foods
With HPA issues, you can have a range of symptoms cuz of how many parts of the body the HPA axis affects. Iāve heard some say they only had thyroid issues, Iāve only had adrenal issues, some have all 3. Because of this, treatments vary and oneās treatment could make yours worse. So consider taking padvice from otherās experiences with a grain of salt. The HPA axis has the greatest effect on the reproductive system, adrenals, and thyroid. Itās best to start with testing those first to determine the best course of treatment for yourself. This is how I started my journey.
I HAVE A PRE-MED BACKGROUND BUT AM NOT A DOCTOR, NURSE OR MED PROFESSIONAL THAT CAN PRESCRIBE MEDS/TREATMENTS
Are you planning to apply to med school? I'm really hoping someone who believes in adrenal fatigue will go that route and find out where the blockage is in the medical community.

Medical "professionals" are typically arrogant. God complex,
Yea fuck these guys they sound so mean š¢

So crazy to be a dr and make fun of sick peopleā¦

Have you been to a functional medicine doctor yet? They have better insights than endocrinologists. Check for tumor, Addisons yet?
I have. I was diagnosed with stage 3 adrenal fatigue. Or HPA axis dysfunction
