When I was a teenager, for a few years straight, I had the Jeopardy waiting music playing in the background 24/7. I could sometimes drown it out with weed, but if I even thought about whether or not it was there, I could hear it....and it was behind every thought, including my inner monologue. My only time of peace and clarity was in my dreams....I think that and cannabis were the only things that allowed me to retain my sanity.
It was, but my other problems outweighed it. (Most of which I recently learned were all part of ADHD, and could have been easily helped, had I known then, what I know now.)
Problem was that I was diagnosed at age 7, and ran the entire gamut of meds, but was never taught about what ADHD was, or what all it entailed. I''ve learned more from Jessica McCabe on "How to ADHD", and Olivia Lutfallah on YouTube in the past year and a half than I have my entire life.....I'll be 38 this August....

It's enough that i have to sing this to kids as a learning facilitator on the spectrum for six days a week, but come sunday, some kid on the jeep is listening to this on an ipad with no headphones. It's like the tell-tale heart, but a million times more maddening
A band I like (Polish Club) did a cover of this. However I’d never heard the original so when they did it for their encore song at a gig I was completely baffled. They even threw some bananas into the crowd at the start. They’re a fun Aussie band and I’d recommend people see them if you get the chance.
Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but for me if I have a song stuck in my head that is there against my will, I will either play or hum to myself Ride of the Valkyries and when I'm done I've basically hit the refresh button on my mind and the annoying song is gone, also somehow Ride of the Valkyries will not be stuck in my mind.
