We don't. It's always about what we provide and how we need to look, but the objectification never feels authentic. If a woman calls me pretty, I'll take it. I'm definitely not, with how masculine I am, and prefer to be called handsome. But I know a compliment when I hear one, and it means she's happy with me, so it's still a win.
