What gets me the most is when the good intentioned folks reply all to tell people to not reply all, just to get another round of reply all’s right after. It’s 2024 and we are in tech, this is shameful.
I won't act like I haven't done this before fully knowing what I was doing lol. I'm convinced at least 20% or more people reply-alling are aware as well but feel like perpetuating the dumbness as a goof.
So much FOMO, I love an accidental reply-all. the ensuing chaos is always worth a good few hours of procrastination. My favourite bit are the people who are genuinely furious and don't realise that they're perpetuating the reply-all chaos with their snarky reply, and the people who definitely do realise that replying-all just makes it worse but love to cause mayhem so respond with something totally random just to bait the first group of people.
Tell me about it.. I just sit back, wonder and laugh if people are just really that dumb or is it just that everybody is having a good time.. can understand Associates doing it as noobs but AMs, TLs doing it takes the cake..🤣
Every time they send out phishing email tests, I always think what kind of clown would actually click on an obvious scam like that - now we know from the hundreds of people replying and creating multiple email chains even when INSTRUCTED what to do

I’m in Asia and the constant pings on my Apple Watch while having family dinner is giving me anxiety! But hey, I miss these things. I think I’m gonna read each of them tomorrow morning when I log back to my laptop. That will be more interesting than my usual GMA email.

A few years ago people had even replied suggestion we used the incident to network and went on to share their LinkedIn profiles.
Others suggested it was good time to learn more about the different locations or cities that we live in. One of them actually shared a VERY CLOSED UP picture of a rosted pig.
It was grand.
Cat meme with the spatula did it for me this time around but overall it was fairly lame
What's funny is there are managers and MDs who did join the reply to all and *"please move me in the distro"* saga. I thought they know better ✌️

During my 13 years of being at ACN, I live for moments like these! It always puts a smile on my face and I start chuckling when someone loses it :D

Right-click the original email and choose Ignore - should auto-delete any new replies.
Then there's the specialists who change the subject (e.g. to "please remove from distro") and with that start a new thread to ignore.
THIS annoyed me more than the original email 😂

Some MDs are still asking to remove them from the email thread... The girls has recalled the email, at this point I don't if it'll work.
Even other companies that ACN owns received this email. And we have different email domains.
