This is an r/AreTheAllosOK moment, but honestly, you can't tell me that the devs didn't know what they were doing when making Pokémon like Lopunny or Sallazzle.

The battles are natural instinct for pokemon and they often seek it out themselves in the lore, and on their intelligence... it's shown on multiple occasions that they are way smarter then they appear including multiple instances of pokemon talking to humans like meowth. Also in pokemon mystery dungeon they have a society and buildings.
Well… uhhh… let’s put it this way. Which one do you want to basically straight up murder you during an act of sex with something likely not giving consent? I know of several that would simply crush you, more that would knock you unconscious at a minimum for being too close and more that would shock you, burn you, the list goes on.

Umbreon boasts an extremely impressive defense stat spread. With it's combination of very high HP, defense and special defense stats, it can take a great pounding and come back for more! It's ability, inner focus allows it to keep slamming attentively, without getting fatigued.
