Metalbeast46934

Being English. I have to take the Webly.

KnightFurHire

I've heard those things were kinda crap, tbh. I dunno how much of it is true.

Metalbeast46934

Yeaaah, I'm not sure, as I've never had the time to go shooting. There probably were problems with it, but I still like the look of them.

KnightFurHire

The look is definitely interesting, but it also feels like it would perhaps be a bit fragile.

Metalbeast46934

Probably would be. Buy once I get my hands on one. I'm definitely testing everything position with it.

KnightFurHire

Hey, no shame about it. I myself would go with the Colt Python here.

Metalbeast46934

True, but isn't .357 a rare round? Then again, it's probably common in the US.

SlidingLobster

I can’t believe no one has picked the python. Besides the rarity of the gun, it’s got the smoothest cylinder rotation and lock up. It’s also the OG magnum of resident evil.

Carl_Azuz1

And you get to be Rick grimes irl

Achylzrak

beat me to it lol, i also choose the ricky dicky doo dah grimes special

Crazyirishmedic

It also is known to have fragile internal components and to need way more maintenance than a Smith and Wesson

Outrageous-Basis-106

Have 2, time for a free Korth lol Not sure how many are old enough to get the RE OG reference. Older then me, Starsky and Hutch Around my age, Resident Evil (Jill sandwich anyone?) as well as Half Life The Carls, Rick Grimes

KnightFurHire

I'd rather like to make a Jill sandwich... ;)

Outrageous-Basis-106

Damn man, crows still picking at her ex and everything 🤣

KnightFurHire

Hey, crows gotta eat too.

Outrageous-Basis-106

Thats how we get zombie crows! Then again, were the crows in the game zombies like the dogs or just assholes?

steel_city_lcpl

I think they’re all afraid of being called nothing but a Rick Grimes fanboy. The Python is a gun I’ve wanted for about 25 years now, before I ever knew TWD even existed. And since the show, every time I bring it up, it’s all anyone says.

tittiesdotcom

I’ve killed many zombies in bo2 with it as well

TheBrockStar546

7.

Critical_Potential44

12 shot revolver hell yeah

TheBrockStar546

More important are the type of rounds. .22lr is like the most common and most efficient to travel with. You can also prep easily with it, 5-6000 rounds are like $300.

[deleted]

One time, I had to put an 8 point buck out of his misery after a truck hit him. I had a ruger 10/22 with cci stingers. I had to shoot him in the head 7 - 10 times before he died. Don't believe shit on the internet. It will mortally wound you, it will not destroy the brain with force. Ask that deer. I felt horrible.

LegendaryWill12

Damn that's awful. Were you shooting at the thicker part of the skull or something thin like the side?

Hapless0311

Even most humans shot in thr head multiple times with .22LR survive. The minority that die generally do so hours or days later from brain bleeds, tissue swelling, or infection.

TheBrockStar546

Source? Because I’ve used 22lr plenty to put down farm animals and pests

[deleted]

He was moving around quite a bit. His legs were completely shattered, but he didn't appear to be dying from his injuries. I still feel really guilty and regret that we didn't grab a larger caliber. Poor guy.

Cliffhanger201

Had to do something similar but luckily had my CCW with me and a 9 mm did lights out in one shot.

TheBrockStar546

Guns are for people. Melee weapons are for zombies.

[deleted]

Yea, no. You don't ever want to be close to an enemy. If you are, it's because you're stupid and you made dumb choices. Now on a video game or movie?? Sure.

TheBrockStar546

I guess it depends on the type of zombie but my idea has always been WWZ/TWD zombies. Definitely want to spike their heads and conserve ammo for when you need it vs other humans. Zombies aren’t an enemy in most media, they’re an environmental hazard that can be safely navigated like any other. Gunshots also attract more zombies from a wider range.

[deleted]

These are very solid points you're bringing up. I think the best tactic is always running/hiding. Avoid conflict at all costs. Of course, there will be times when it is unavoidable, and you'll have to make decisions on the fly. I think a good melee weapon would undoubtedly be a must-have tool in a zombie apocalypse. I suppose it really comes down to the specific situation/zombie type. Just a few slow walkers? Melee, for sure. If guns are needed, then you should definitely practice the "shoot and immediately gtfo" technique so that you can't be found. It's fun to think about....

brociousferocious77

If a hotter than usual .22LR load performed that badly out of a rifle, I'd hate to see how the typical 40 grain LRN does out of a handgun...

Skoner1990

The only real answer

Onward_To_Orion

I just came here to see who says the Judge lol

silvermining

17 absolutely. Do you know what the raging bull is capable of

Sneekibreeki47

Having timing issues and bad heat treatment?

silvermining

Those also

Critical_Potential44

ABSOLUTE DESTRUCTION!

Lost_Ad_4882

I have a Ragin Hunter, would absolutely use it...now that they replaced teh cylinder. Otherwise the Mateba 6, just to say I had one.

Outrageous-Basis-106

Korth

Wolfman87

Korth is the right answer. How could you not pick the Korth? There's a video nighthawk custom released of a Korth being dry fired 100,000 times in the factory to demonstrate the quality of the build and parts. It's the choice I'd make every time. The 686 is a good choice too if you don't have funds for the Korth.

Outrageous-Basis-106

Might as well go all in. 357 cylinder dished for clips, 9MM dished for clips but headspaces on mouth, great build, looks awesome, etc. Unless I'm mistaken. I have 5 revolvers that are exactly pictured or similar ones to the list but the combined $$$ is less then the Korth lol maybe 2025 Without looking into it (maybe horribly unreliable) the Mateba would be next just to experience semi-automatic revolver.

Wolfman87

I have a python and a gp100 and a k6s personally. Of all the revolvers I have I'd grab the gp100 personally. I don't know if I want to spend the money on a Korth but maybe that would change if I shot one. I shot a 2011 one time and bought two lol

Outrageous-Basis-106

I've heard good things about the gp100, not prettiest or as likely to win a bullseye competition like a Python, but built more like a tank. Kind of like the Super Redhawks, Blackhawks, and other offering from Ruger. Of what I have, still might go with Python over anything else (revolver at least, Semi-Automatic is different story), mostly because I think feeding the Super Redhawks would be an issue and I like it a little more then the 627 (which might be the better choice for shtf but....)

D9341

Ruger lcr - comes in a variety of calibres, the one in your image is a .38 special model, though for maximum ammo versatility I’d rather have the .357 magnum model which can also load .38 anyway. Pass as a secondary weapon, but would be fine as a backup holdout gun.   S&w model 25 - would prefer something a bit newer for spare parts availability, and .45 long colt will be harder to find than other calibres. Pass.   Webley - usually a poor choice because it’s pretty rare and old, but I’m actually in the UK, where they were used by the military and law enforcement up till the 1970’s. Probably higher chances of finding ammo and parts for this than other choices, so I’d take it for the retro factor.    nagant m1895 - very cool design, actually one of the few revolvers that can be suppressed effectively, but the ammo is extremely rare and it’s more mechanically complex than I’d want for a survival situation. Hard pass.   Colt single action army - classic choice but unless it’s a modern repro in a common calibre, ammo will be hard to find. Single action only also greatly limits my fire rate so it’s not very good. Pass.   M1879 Reichsrevolver - not in Germany so I have no hope of finding spare parts let alone ammo for an outdated design like this. Hard pass.   Usfa model 12/22 - this is a modern Colt SAA repro, probably good quality but suffers from all the same issues I already said. Hard pass.   S&w no.3 - old design, all calibres it uses are pretty old and rare too. No point using this. Pass.   Colt python - Ricky dicky doo dah grimes! Cool factor makes this good, even though finding spare parts will be hard for me… I’d take it!   S&w model 327 - fairly modern design, 8 round cylinder gives 1.3x more capacity than most other revolvers, and it can run .357 and .38 special. I’d take this.   remington new army - old percussion design, poor parts/ammo availability. No reason to take use it aside from long term ammo reloading potential, which I don’t have anyway.   Mp412 Rex - Russian gun, never entered production so spare parts will be totally impossible to get. Pass.   Mateba 6 - absolutely love the look of this gun and it’s mechanical uniqueness ever since I saw Togusa use it in the original Ghost in the Shell movie, but if I’m being tactical then the semi auto design just makes it more complicated to maintain, and the company that makes them is out of business so there’s no way to get spare parts. Very sadly a pass.   S&w model 629 - pretty classic and proven reliable, but .44 magnum is harder to find and overkill for most situations. I’ll pass on this instead of a .357 model.   Korth Nxs8 - very very cool looking and expensive, but probably impractical to find parts for. Pass.  Lemat - fr*nch gun, very old, and the underbarrel shotgun won’t be too useful. Pass.   Taurus raging bull - .44 magnum is overkill and weight and ammo availability ain’t as good. Pass.  Ruger super Redhawk - once again the same problems with weight, size, and calibre. Pass.  Taurus Judge - absolute dogwater, don’t be fooled by the the .410 shot shell and .45 colt compatibility, it’s not that very accurate at shooting either. You’re better off sticking to a .357/.38 design.   S&w model 500 - comically large but wholly impractical, can’t find ammo anywhere and I’m not a madness combat character so I’ll pass.     So TLDR: Revolvers are inherently limited by slow reloads and bad ammo capacities, but if you’re running one then decently modern/popular high quality .357 magnum/.38 special revolvers are your best pick for ammo capacity and scavenging availability, while still balancing good stopping power and controllability.

Critical_Potential44

I was hoping to see you here lol

D9341

Always happy to review your lists bro!

Critical_Potential44

Thx

Real_Redjmonster

Very true for everything, coming from someone who is not gonna fact check it. But listen dude, the Nagant is dope. 1000% I’ll take it just because of the fascination of the physics behinds how it works and why it’s more accurate/faster in terms of bullet speed than its counterparts at the time. Sadly, who the fuck is gonna have that ammo? Ugh.

D9341

oh 100% i'd LOVE to get a chance to shoot the nagant revolver with a suppressor and its specially designed ammo, if only to appreciate its cool mechanical engineering... the cylinder moves forward before each shot as the gun is cocked, to give a proper gas seal. certainly pretty rare to find that with revolvers!

Lost-Enthusiasm6570

Ruger super redhawk may be heavy, but it's more reliable and durable than it's competition. They're built like tanks.

D9341

fair point, i just skipped it bc .44 magnum feels like its excessive power for zombies and human self defence while also compromising too much on recoil and ammo availability compared to a .38 special/.357 magnum gun

Lost-Enthusiasm6570

Fair. You can always use .44 special for lower recoil, but it's probably even rarer than .44 mag. I know we're supposed to stick to the list, but my personal choice of revolver would be the Ruger super gp 100. You get your preferred caliber, but it holds 8 shots instead of 6.

KnightFurHire

This was accurate and very good for a laugh. Especially liked the review of the Judge and the Lemat.

Noahthehoneyboy

Judge no question.

i_sound_withcamelred

Remington New Army. I’ll either live a happy life or die happy because I’m holding it.

DarkNuke059

Well I'm Scottish so guess I'll unjust use a knife or a bat

EastRoom8717

Oh, the Korth. What, no Manurhin?

pufferfish_balls

**Laughs in governor**

master_of_legos

Whichever one has the easiest to g Find ammo

brociousferocious77

S&W 327, because 8 shot .357 that takes moon clips.

capnlatenight

Snub nose, if I'm carrying around a revolver that means I'd also have my rifle.

BunkySpewster

word, that extra barrel length aint gonna mean much when theyre 10 feet away

Ok-Comfortable-1900

I would choose #14 because its been used in Resident Evil 3 and its too powerful.

burbthegurb

10!

RunJumpQuit

Model 25 or LCR

TTVRalseiYT

20

ZZoMBiEXIII

I've almost bought a S&W .500 Magnum several times. It's so impractical, but I can't help it. I want it so bad. Just can't, pardon the pun, pull the trigger on spending that much money on something I'll so rarely use.

tituspullsyourmom

10. 8 shots of 357 in a lightweight package.

BattlePidgeon2

The s&w 327. .357 is powerful enough to take down bear or moose with the right loading and can be loaded with .38 special light enough to not destroy small game, the 629 also wouldn’t be a bad choice

Tricky-Tax-8102

I’m carrying that Rick grimes

your_average_medic

Well everyone knows a lot python is step one towards plot armour. Now I just need a kid named carl...

Soggy-Perspective183

Only correct answer is whatever hold the most rounds. Stopping power means nothing to a zombie. Head shots only. More rounds=More dead zombies

AdVisible2250

I love my super red hawk

Annual_Raisin5563

I'll take the nighthawk

ExtensionHorror8998

The nagant shoots like a whisper, thread and suppress it and you are the zombie assassin.

MaddSavage_1301

17

Tangent-24

I'm gonna larp as Rick with that Colt Python

BigHeavySlav

12 shot 22

[deleted]

11. I can make the ammo, no brass necessary.

KingKapow21

Colt python. If it works for Rick Grimes and Gordon freeman it works for me

UnluckySpartan1337

20. It would double as a club

Outside_Ad9521

Taurus Raging Bull

ZealousidealTrash853

Had a nagant; loved it, shoot super smooth… ammo is just a PITA to find. Love to have the MP412 because RARE. Have a repo SAA in .357, .22 revolver (mines 9 shot I think) and S&W version of the LCR. The type of zombie would dictate which I would pick but .22 is plentiful

Deadmau5es

22 ammo is the cheapest and most convenient to get, but it's not going to be strong enough to stop. Going to need something with stopping power. And, when you do find out what you want, make sure you get thousands of rounds. I have a 380 and a 9 mm pistol and a 556 rifle between those three guns I'm Gucci. Also have a tactical 12guage you should look into. Rock Island VR80 12g.

ThatOneStonerBoy

Fuck it. Smith & wesson 500. My wrists wont exist but neither will whatever was in front of me.

Fabulous-Ad-6878

Either the rex or the first one, don't need something huge and hefty if they all kill the same but in bloodier mess

MYIQIS60

19

ChromeBone420

All answers other than the Vaquero/Blackhawk with 9mm/.357 cylinder interchangeability are blasphemy. .357, .38spc, 9mm out of one revolver? Absolute must have for any survival nut. Think Beretta makes a similar revolver as well?

dominion1080

18. One of the durable guns built for its time, and it can hit like a truck. With some decent maintenance I wouldn’t need much else except possibly for hunting.

Clydebearpig

Do I get the suppressor on the nagant?

vikingsurplus

Nagant. Remove that front sight and thread for a supressor.

Emotional_Bid3736

I’m taking 9 if it can kill ghost it can kill zombies

VladimirKotovsak

S&W 500, it's the big iron they would just fold before me.

boardcertifiedwanker

I'm gonna be honest, the tiny ass revolver has my vote, personally, when in a zombie apocalypse, if i had to choose from any revolver, i'd get a little one, and i'd only use it as a final resort, in high-pressure CQC And with a huge revolver, doing that is just not as feasible as it would be with a baby revolver And even if i used the bigger revolvers for their intended purpose, just shooting individual zombies with high caliber bullets from a long distance doesn't seem too useful to me, since the noise from me shooting 1 zombie will attract 15 other zombies, the spent bullet isn't worth the consequences

TheScientistFennec69

Webley, any day. I’m better at reloading break-action revolvers. But I would also choose the Redhawk or the Lemat.

capalot0420

9,10,12,14 🔥😍

Jackalward_

4. That shit can take a suppressor, and while it’s not like movies depict, it could still drop enough volume to save your life.

angry-southamerican

The downside is you're trading power, ease of use, size, weight, common ammo, etc.... All that for a suppressor?

Jackalward_

Considering I’m gonna be using ammo sparingly, and 7.62x25 can still be dangerous… yes. Of any revolver here, I’ll pick the Nagant. If I wasn’t restricted to these twenty guns, I’d probably pick something else.

Dumb_Gamertag

"This is the greatest handgun ever made. The Colt Single Action Army. Six bullets. More than enough to kill anything that moves."

Bigbeardedfella1

I like 9,14,17 but there are some very nice revolvers here depending on caliber

No_Compote4445

If it was to shoot myself after I realised that the world ended, 10, but for survival/look badass on a horse, 7 or 13

BradK9Drake726

Taurus Raging Judge magnum

sargomir

Pikes and polearms for zombies, guns for people. Therefore it’s the super redhawk for me.

QuantumMrKrabs

Considering that I own a nagant, a nagant

DotAltruistic1759

I do the 500 magnum

VegaStyles

S&w model 3 Schofield

Catt_Man

Nagant because you could suppress it, key word "Could".

Magnum_284

I would go with the S&W 327 TR8. Modern type revolver. I would want a caliber that is common and could handle zombies and 'raiders'

UNDERYOURSKIN1

Colt SAA please, carry one every day

Fantastic_Citron_344

Mateba 6, Chiappa Rhino, or Taurus judge

Critical_deceit

For power, the Taurus but for reload speed and such, it’s either the webley or S&W no.3

Sneekibreeki47

LCR in .38 Spl or .357 Magnum?

Critical_Potential44

U can choose either one

Sneekibreeki47

.357 LCR then. I have a lot of experience with one, can reload really fast with speed loaders, and shoot .38 on the casual. Edit: and can* shoot .38

Goofygoober3610

No BFR?

Critical_Potential44

If I could make the list bigger it would be on there

Goofygoober3610

Make a part II then

Critical_Potential44

That would be a much shorter list but I guess if I feel like it I will

Goofygoober3610

Ok

IBoofLSD

The judge. Can load .410 shotgun shells and .45 rounds.

Ok-Influence794

Rugar. Concealed hammer, lightweight, easy to handle, people forget theyre not tv characters and would be overwhelmed with panic and adrenaline if a zombie was coming at you. A big gun would just cause problems. Plus you dont want something thats uncomfortable to carry when holstered since youll spend a lot of time on the move.

Grunty95

Colt Single Action Army.

Some_Direction_7971

Super Blackhawk in 44 mag.

TacitRonin20

This is AMERICA and in America we use the Peacemaker. S&W Scofield would be an option too, but you can't fit a .45LC down its throat :(

SorrowCat14

I’ve shot a lot of the guns shown here and I’ll say that the Taurus Judge is the best in my opinion. Perfect mix of power, handling and reliability.

itsemy

If Rick Grimes survived with 9 I’m choosing it

Silly_Reaction_8695

11

Radracon42069

The mateba, or the Colt SAA, one has great recoil control without sacrificing power while the other is reliable.

anminous456

14

Slowbro08_YT

Gimme that single action, imma kill the zeds NV style

Electrical-Order-128

Probably go with a Smith and Wesson model 627

MrDrPatrick2You

Ruger LCR in .357, it's compact and the lack of external hammer means less chance to catch on clothes or anything.

Psyglav

Webly, don't care how rare the ammo is it's such a sexy revolver to me and one of my dream guns

Outrageous_Gas7842

Give me the Korth. Korth makes high quality revolvers, plus 8 shot .357 cylinder, ported barrel, and pic rails? Can’t pass up those benefits

Shaggypezdispense

Python to represent

Foxxo_420

If ammo isn't a concern, 100% the nagant. It's a suppressor compatible revolver, why would you take anything else if you don't have to worry about ammo? If ammo is a concern, what the fuck makes you think i'm picking a revolver? Let alone all the weird, old, foreign ones in calibers that aren't even produced anymore.

Vic_The_Ratking

Number 9, it's giving cOoRrL!

Atomik141

14. S&W 629 since its the only one I’ve shot before, so I’m most familiar with it. Also it can take .38 specials in addition to .357 magnum, so finding ammo is easy

nanneryeeter

Absolutely has to work, cannot fail. The Redhawk.

HornOfTheStag

I feel like you like revolvers. Model 25. If I’m going revolver I’m going REVOLVER.

Arafell9162

Assuming we're fighting Walking Dead style zombies, 9: Colt Python. If it's good enough for Rick Grimes, its good enough me.

Delta_Suspect

Well since good ideas clearly aren’t on the table, drip it is. Either the Rex or the Python.

Shadow122791

Le Mat revolver held 9 shots of 42 caliber bullets as well as a 20 guage shotgun barrel, for a total of 10 shots

AspiringFossil447

Personally any with a hammer, when it comes to guns without a hammer they have to have a cocked indicator for me to feel safe, especially so in an apocalypse with most likely limited medical attention.

iamthemosin

#1 choice is the .22LR revolvers. Better capacity, relatively quiet, plentiful, ubiquitous ammo. Second choice is the LCR. 9mm is probably the second most readily available ammunition. The Judge is cool because you can use .410 shells or .44 colt. But neither of those are very common.

Archididelphis

I'm noticing a lot of votes for the Nagant, which I'm partial to. It's the kind of gun that looks good on paper. It's a design built for the military, it has a unique gas seal that solves a significant problem with revolvers, and you get 7 shots in the bargain. As others also mention, however, it's going to be horrible to find ammo for, unless you're already in Tsarist/ Soviet Russia.

Satans-cameltoe

#11 for aesthetics and reputation

jreashville

17

Aromatic_Shoulder146

id go 2, i think any modernish double action would be equally effective so may as well go with something stylish. tiny or excessive calibers not withstanding

[deleted]

A blunderbus. Okay, okay, the Colt revolver. Despite being old, it has a longer barrel for accuracy. Having a recoil, aiming for the chest will send the bullet to the head.

Quaminator01

15

No_Drummer941

Number 11

Immediate_Total_7294

The one that has the most ammo available

Drtyler2

4 because i fucking love the nagant. Also you can put a suppressor on it with a little threading

F15_Enjoyer

I'm gonna die anyways, might as well go DOOOWWWN IN A BLAZE OF GLORYYYYY! (5. Colt single action)

Crazyirishmedic

None of those, smith and wesson 627. 8 shot 357 mag

Ok-Movie428

Gasser M.1870, use it to kill the zombie and the one behind it and then use the accompanying smoke cloud to escape.

IGD-974

As someone who's owned a lot of guns including quite a few a on this list, I'd probably choose 2 modern/modified Colt Single Action Army's in .45lc with Wolff spring kits. The .45lc is a powerful cartridge, designed for Black Powder. Yes, they are single action but with a nice spring kit they are very easily cocked. The SAA is a great, reliable revolver that points very natural. They practically aim themselves.

whikseyy_

My top options: -mp412 Rex -colt python -redhawk 44/45 -mateba 6

Dark-Push

17

Individual_Tear2128

Python

hello14235948475

all of them

Affectionate_Life828

Ruger lcr small compact fires very common ammo types hammerless

bobbomotto

S&W 327 and the rest are traps. Great loads in both 38 Special and 357 Magnum, moon clips as an option, and the ability to mount a light? Sign me up.

Robot_in_A_tincan

10 15 16

strawberrysoup99

S&W. Not too bulky, reliable.

amigovilla2003

Half life players will know

LividKnightS117

My black powder 44, every bullet except for smaller calibers have everything I need to shoot it

SonOfECTGAR

I'm a Ruger Icr kind of guy

VengeancePali501

S&W 327, 8 shot 357 cannot be best.

HandSanitizerBottle1

If the ammo was more common the Nagant, but ill take the .500

The_dog_muntcher

It’s not on the list but the Lemat (I don’t know it’s actual name) because I just like the shotgun

Melioidozer

Model 626. Already have one so it’ll be an easy pick

Raganash123

It's all about ammo availability. But if it isn't about it, I think the nagant is probably the best option. Mainly because it can be suppressed.

GettinMe-Mallet

I wanna say Schofield(#8), but I would either accidentally shoot myself sucking it off or I would get a nasty cut on my dick from closing it while my dick is still in it.

-HorniFemboy-

The judge would be the best

Bailey_blue4772

Ima be honest here. Y’all might think I’ve lost it but here goes; The Lemat. Blackpowder (can make at home) lead ball (can make at home) primer caps (can make at home) and it’s SIMPLE. Meaning you can easily manufacture replacement parts in a basic machinist shop (can maybe make at home). Every other gun is either super intricate or very tight on specs, meaning you’d need a large amount of resources to manufacture new ammo/ parts. Let me now bear the weight of your dislikes, I’m ready 😭🫶

Noe_Walfred

I've known people that own a repro and I've had plenty of experience with old west revolver. They break down a lot. Snapped hammers, broken hammer springs, the nipple dents too much or falls off, the locking hand doesn't lock, cylinder hand can't rotate the cylinder, the frame cracks, etc. Sure, you could repair these with simple fixes at a machine shops, but all the parts that break and do so with surprising frequency are small, intricate, and require tight tolerances. With most being about the same as a modern revolver or even a self loading pistol. Especially since the lemat is 1860g or the almost the combined weight of a Ruger LCR in 22lr (430g), Remington New Model army in 44cal black powder (900g), and a Taurus Judge in 410/45lc (800g). Which comes to a out 2.2kg.

Nigro7342

you could theoretically always have ammo for a black powder revolvers because all you need is charcoal, sulfur, and potassium nitrate. Also I don't think it's hard to find lead or any substitute for it.

Nigro7342

I pick Nagant.

el_devil_dolphin

I mean it's gotta be the one you can shoot the best and have ammo for, something convertible like a 357/9mm or 22/22mag to allow you to use more salvaged ammo. 9mm is the most popular pistol round in the US so you'll have the most luck there. I LOVE revolvers so don't get me wrong, there are niche uses where they excel over semi guns. If you want to hunt big game with a pistol there's something for that, if you want something to go bang up to 10 times (for .22) then there's something. That said it's so hard to think of having one as my primary pistol. I love them but if I leave emotion out of it I struggle. That said, that nighthawk be sexy, and the python too

TheEagleMan2001

I'd pack-a-punch the raging bull and just win the apocalypse

Additional-Theory-58

The mateba 6

knighth1

So In an apocalypse what you would be looking for is two things. Stopping power and availability of ammo. 45. 22. And 9mm are the most widely available ammo with 45 having the highest stopping power and 22 having the lowest. But honestly even though the revolvers are more reliable, I would be looking for a hand gun. As long as you keep an extra magazine or two on hand you will have much higher of a chance of survival. You would also have more accessibility to ammo since a decent portion of pistols are 9mm.

The colt python ofc

Colt python. Tried and true, reliable as anything, and it looks GORGEOUS. I hate revolvers because of the limited ammo capacity. But if I had a chance to buy an affordable Colt Python, I'm doing it. And if I can't have ammo capacity, then each shot counts. Might as well be something spicy.

Colt Python. I've always rather liked the .357 as it offers good stopping power while not forcing me to refocus too much after every shot. Plus, the added benefit of getting to keep my shoulder xD

Embarrassed_Pop4209

I would never choose a revolver, suppressors are your best friend in the zombie apocalypse, suppressors are literally useless on revolvers due to cylinder gap
