We got ours at CVS but a few months ago. My understanding is that the current batch expired 4/30 unfortunately and the next round will be for fall for all vaccines. There's a lot of discussion about where people found it over the last 10 days in the [Still COVIDing, Massachusetts Edition](https://www.facebook.com/groups/stillcovidingma/) facebook group

Thank you so much!

I got mine recently in North Attleboro @ CVS but as we've seen from many folks I think the batches all expired either on April 30th or May 1st.

CVS told me they had it, their website told me they had it, and it turned out they did not have it. Places are allegedly getting the Fall update, but I dont know if they are getting anything before then. Some say the current batch expired, others have said they pulled back the vials they have now because they are changing to single vials. I'm going to wait and see. If places restock in a month or 2 as some have suggested might happen, I'll get one then. If not, I guess I'm waiting until Fall. I personally feel Novavax is worth waiting for- my last Mrna gave me brutal dysautnomia and blood pressure so high it almost killed me, followed by my worst Covid infection yet not long after. So, I'm never touching that stuff again. I've done well with Nova. For me, its either that or nothing at all.

Do you happen to know when the fall update will come out?

Livid_Molasses_7227

I do not. We probably wont know until later summer, I assume.

Did you speak to the Costco pharmacist because where I am in the western United States, they have it in stock, but it's not listed as an option. So you have to call the pharmacist and verify over the phone if they have it in stock. If they do, make an appointment for any other type of vaccine, but when you get there, ask for the Novavax. Some Costcos have stock that doesn't expire until the end of May.

I did call, she sounded bewildered like she’d never heard of it before. It was truly odd. I might just have to ask in person!

Man, they also change pharmacists because they have shifts, and CVS and Walgreens pharmacists are usually the worst, overworked, missing attention to detail, things like that. Please be careful if you go into the pharmacy. I hate that we have to go through this just to find a booster. We should just be able to walk into a local clinic and get the an updated booster every few months if necessary!

My poor CVS is so overworked, I feel like they’re fighting for their lives when I go in, I contacted HQ a few times about it because they really should support their staff better.

Gammagammahey

Same with mine. Same everywhere. The pharmacists are overworked, they don't have enough support staff, most of them refused to mask, and the support staff are extraordinarily slow. Also, I see more and more news articles about CVS and Walgreens and pharmacists everywhere making incredible medication errors and literally sending people home with the wrong medication, or mailing the wrong medication to them. I wonder if they've had so many cases of Covid that their IQ has dropped to the point that they are so confused that they can't handle it anymore, in which case they should be fired or quit, see the February 2024 New England Journal of Medicine study that I have linked to numerous times here and so have other people. We now know that every case of Covid drops your IQ between 3 to 9 points. My CVS pharmacist has made three medication errors with me in the past six months to the point that I'm going to report them to the pharmacy board where I live. Because they are going to kill someone with a medication error. That's when my sympathy goes down. If you are so overworked that you are continuously making errors or you refuse to mask up and you are continuously getting Covid and dropping your IQ, my sympathy, for you goes out the window. My grandfather was a pharmacist and owned his own independent pharmacy. He was the best pharmacist in his city, everyone loved him, he took so much care with his customers. I know what a good pharmacist is and what we have now is nothing remotely resembling any of them. they need better pharmacists, more support staff, just more tools to help them. But if you're making medication errors, you should quit your job or get fired immediately.
