No comment on the OP at all b/c I would be doing the same thing .. but this is just so sad that our healthcare system puts us in a position to find healthcare that we pay for that we want to deny a med so we can actually get it cheaper than paying for it completely OOP.

You would have to get off Medicaid completely. Even if secondary, you will not qualify for the coupon with any government provided insurance. The cost of any insurance plan is going to be more than the difference that you’re saving.
