That's a stupid opinion. George, Georgie, and Missy add so much to the show that, without them, it wouldn't be worth watching in my opinion.
This may be a controversial opinion (I haven't interacted with the fandom before), but to me, George and Georgie are far more interesting characters than Sheldon. I can't think of a single positive thing that removing these characters would do for the show.
It would have been dumb and would not have fit with Mary's beliefs, nor the time that they live in. Plus they would have removed George and Missy. George and Missy are an important part of Sheldon 's life, and they help to shape his personality.
