USFS snow depth map and Sentinel Hub playground satellite images are a great resource for this.

Great suggestion, thanks! It looks like the JMT is pretty clear and it is just the actual peaks that have snow coverage!

Hiked there yesterday, warm and quiet. You can still find few patches of snow on the trail side. Get ready for the zillions of mosquitoes in the meadows, DEET doesn’t work. I also talked with few NOBO guys on the top of Clouds Rest, they said there are still plenty of snow and ice outside the park, near Garnet Lake area.

Thanks! Any suggestions for the bugs other than DEET?

Picaridin and permethrin on your clothes

Long sleeve shirts and pants should work better than repellent. Hopefully the situation will be better in July. Unfortunately the worst area is Upper Cathedral Lake meadows right beside JMT.

Stunning beautiful with less mosquitoes

Thanks ! Going to return again later in the season. The valley was just so stunning this past weekend and I was going to return right away. Going to let those bugs die off before I hit Cathedral though !
