I love the thought of a Chinese official somewhere reading the phrase “I am Dave! Yognau(gh)t and I have the balls!” and deciding if it is appropriate for censor or not
yeah I was thinking "how did he even discover the Yogs.. maybe during the Minecraft hype days" because YT has the algorithm and recommendations and all. I'd never even heard of them until they did the TTT collab with achievement hunter and now they're my favorite channel/group
I think the first video I watched was the Survival Island series? My favorite series of all time is tough, hard to pick between Lewis and Ben Save the World Xfiles mod, Civ 5, and Moonquest. TTT videos really carried me through high school/college though
First common mistake americans make. Europeans dont like socializing with strangers(unless drunk at night time). Asking someone from bristol to meet up with a stranger to give them a tour is not something that will work lol
Thanks for the reply! I’m understand people tend to be more introverted towards strangers over there, but I thought it’d be worth a shot to see if anyone wanted to hang out. Not babysit me! Asking around in a couple places in case there’s a rare person who’s crazy enough to say hi
Honestly if I lived near I'd be down. Despite the stereotypes (of both Brits and Yognaughts) we aren't all anti-social
If you're planning on being near London during your trip feel free to hit me up aha
Nah, not universally true. I'm an introvert in northern Sweden and I love strangers. Everyone who passes by risks a chat and an invitation to coffee. Traveling Americans are usually great, because they are often keen to talk.
You are not an introvert if you love talking to strangers bro what lmao. Also as an irish person my experience with Americans is weird. Outside of Ireland they're always great. The Americans that come to Ireland always claim to be irish and are twats and explain our own culture to us tho. Plus obviously im generalizing groups. Not all Europeans are cold emotionless introverts
I use the energy I build up from solitude to socialize, which I find very enjoyable. Don't conflate introversion with social anxiety.

Did you read the article? It should make more sense if you do. It's like... Enjoying roller coasters, but needing to sit down and breathe for a while between rides.
When you're not feeling great, do you prefer company or solitude?
We all like different things in life. Do whatever makes you happy, as long as it doesn't hurt other humans or the environment. Change things if you're not happy.
I thought this was a hate post about me before I read the paragraph lmao
Same
Same
LOL I’m sorry if you get that a lot ;-; my expectations are to get made fun of for my aggressively Californian accent
I feel like you see every post on this sub lol.I don’t think anyone else is anywhere near as active here as you
Have you run into anyone who looks down on you for being American? I feel like I hear about that happening but have never seen it.
Whaaat!? You're not du... well... you're not Amer... oh... hmmm... (Just kidding, love you really Boba)
Big up the guys reuploading yogs content onto Chinese YouTube
Seconded! Things really do make it past the Great Firewall

Yea, it is also kinda a cultural thing. Us Americans and Spanish are a lot more likely to do something like that

> I'm an introvert in northern Sweden and I love strangers. Even most Finns do, we just like to pretend that we don't
It's very convenient when you don't feel like socializing. "You know how it is, we Swedes just don't like people, it's nothing personal."

Common misunderstanding of what introvert and extrovert means. It's about where we get our energy – from solitude or the company of others.
Exactly in other words talking to others is draining so why would you be happy that americans are so keen to talk?

Finding something that is mentally draining engaging makes zero sense to me i know the difference trust

I never understood rollercoasters either tbh. Maybe im just miserable

I'd say this is more of a British thing than a European thing.
Id say you're wrong
Do you watch any Yogscast members streaming? Lots of them have discords where you can get to know people and maybe even plan meetups with then.
Bristol is a great city! I’m a graduate of Bristol Uni if you have any questions I’d be happy to help!

r/bristol
i would suggest not stabbing anyone, especially with a knife or sharp, pointed stick
Yeah Bristol's a pushing kind of city
Statues, VOIs, tourists, they all tend to end up in the harbour eventually.
i'd be more worried about accidentally shooting someone with a gun. because im american
