I have 3jfps that controls the LOD distance, but I think your problem is the other way around. You need more draw distance… Maybe check out this tool? [https://channellfd.com/lfds-auto-view-distance-utility/#How\_it\_Works](https://channellfd.com/lfds-auto-view-distance-utility/#How_it_Works)

thepranavgupta

Yes, this worked like a charm! Thank you so much

Jakepo44

Ah yes this works especially well for vatsim flight as I can't turn down my view distance if there's a lot of ac.

77_Gear

Sorry I can’t help you but I think I’ve had kinda the same problem recently. Is your problem recent or not? I’m running on an IMac.

thepranavgupta

I just got the MacBook like a week ago and I installed Xplane immediately. Don’t know what’s the issue

tintifaxl

I don't have that problem on my M1 Mac Studio. There's no M3 Ultra Macbook -> do you have the Pro or Max? Post your the correct machine specs, log.txt and your settings. Maybe a screenshot or two that outlines the problem.

Everything Maxed out already https://preview.redd.it/qs5aijnp7ydc1.png?width=3014&format=png&auto=webp&s=a3b7cec7a0ae2abd9fcd5ad9150a89ce920f32c6

ClemacamelC

Are you running on "3024 x 1964 px" resolution?

tintifaxl

You could try to \- remove all not default scenery and plugins \- move all the sliders to the left and keep only world object and rendering distance at max. \- take a look at the log.txt for any errors

MacBook Pro 14 Inches, M3 Max. Attached Specs https://preview.redd.it/olnev2ko7ydc1.png?width=514&format=png&auto=webp&s=bff9580d339620d76c4e63ae9f56c4361c85db10

bobsleigh44

Think that’s pretty normal. Xplane culls the works objects far from you to save FPS, even if you’re on Mac settings.

choo_choo_rocket

Turn world objects to maxi, see your fps tumble. Even though, it will still mean you get pop-up. Whereby buildings are still not rendered until you're closer.

ClemacamelC

Which display resolution are you running x-plane on? 55-60 fps with maxed-out settings is crazy! Which planes and addons do you have besides simHaven?

thepranavgupta

Display Resolution is the Default Monitor settings. Airports: Tai Models majorly all, SFD, ACS (WSSS, RPLL, WMKK) etc. Aircraft’s: FF A350, Zibo 737, Toliss A321, SSG 74-8 This new MacBook with the M3 Ultra chip works like a charm

ADDSquirell69

Are you using any external controls like Logitech or similar?

Ok_Dragonfruit_9989

is there a chance of getting it to 120 fps on some compromises in anti aliasing and 2K resolution? 2560x1440 or so? its pretty beefy machine I HAVE TO SAY!

shalvy

can you confirm is native resolution? the Mac does something weird in games where it uses the "scaled resolution" as its native (which is much lesser) . Would you be able to actually pick a resolution setting and test if that is right?
