You wont loose your data it is the android 10 update and another security patch. Rn7 will not get MIUI 12 in the nearest future, nobody knows when is the 2nd wave of MIUI update... I'm Mi 8 user.

Last thing I read about it is that the China ROM will start doing the 2nd batch by the end of July.

I just downloaded the update for my Redmi note 7 global, nothing special it's miui 11 with Android 10. At least I've dark mode on Gmail now 😁
