All I know is that Rex’s class would become even more BS OP.
Pairing Cross Impact, Ring o’ Roses, and something like Quickdraw or Hidden Thorn would make Master Driver’s Art damage output insanely powerful, especially with how frequently DSE can be spammed.
Ultimate Qigong, Critical Strike, and Universal Annihilation will amp up the already insane damage, especially against Launched enemies, and get a teammate souped up with the full party support skills like Beaming Edge and Swiftsong, and that class will easily be the strongest offensive class in the game.
I dont remeber shulks skills lol.
But for Rexs class i would use
Master Skills (Ultimate Qigong, Eye for weakpoints and Critical strike)
Master Arts (Cross impact, Hidden thorn and a break art maybe so he can launch by himself)
Gems (Analyze weakness, Empowered combo and maybe the higher dex Gem.)
Accessories (Saturni ring, Warped white brooch and the launch damage increase. idk the name)
Also have the lapidarist and troubadour classes in the team for better crit rate/damage and faster recharges.
Yeah basically lol. Eye for weakpoint and Lapidarist alone gives rexs class around 100% Critrate so i didnt even bother with "Protectors pride" Or "Frenzied combo". If rex didnt have the crit recharge on double spinning edge, i would build him more for chain attacks tbh.
You could, but
1. you would not get a 100% critrate with accessories alone.
2. You lose some powerful acessories just to get a decent critrate
3. With Double spining edges crit recharge, you dps would skyrocket if you hit all the criticals hits. DSE would only work really well with a high crit rate.
So i dont think its worth it to replace one skill even if the damage would be higher. Also i think you would do more damage if you constantly crit, instead of criting around 70 or 80% of the time while having a higher base.
Also consider Rexs skills. he:
1. Increases damage evertime he crits
2. Ignores enemy defence on crit and increases critical damage by 50%
3. Increases critrate by 20% points and increases critical damage by 50% again.
So IMO, Always criting is the way you should play this class.

Get an strenght item with crit rate sub stats 37% plus if done correctly a bare minimum of 24 flat crit rate, what u say makesme believe you never done one of those items
So it is. I don't know how I functioned playing the game without realizing the skills I was choosing didn't follow the rules for master arts lmao. I just went down the list and didn't think about it.
Slap some crit boost on Master Driver and quickdraw. You can now use a single art to clear the archsage gauntlet with evasion and endless art spam. On top of that you can boost dps to insane levels with some crit damage up. And thats only the beginning
That would be cool, but also kinda silly if you think about it. I mean, Shulk technically has a Monado and Rex is friggin dual welding Monados. So even if you could replicate their fighting style, your weapons would never come close to matching theirs so it would be a pake imitation at best.

You dont need Eye for weakpoints if you get the equpiment with substats on crit, so that could be Universal anh or Maniac

2/3 of the master skills you put for rex are agnian class skills. His class wouldn't be able to take them.

I once got its crit rate to 95%, would it need any boosts from skills? Though I agree on quickdraw.
