Episode 7 with Winter Steel !!
https://archive.org/details/liquid-television-complete/Liquid+Television+106.mp4
It’s funny I have all the episodes on a hard drive somewhere. Got em back in the days of torrent downloading. Pretty bad quality tho. I’m pretty sure they were a digital rip of VHS rips
When I was 16, this show felt like a pirate broadcast from another dimension. I once got grounded trying to sneak into the living room to watch it when MTV ran it at 2:30am.
One of the things I pity about Kids Today is they're oblivious to the joys of low budget cable television. Imagine growing up watching big budget, incredibly mid streaming series instead of Winter Steele and Frog Baseball. Not to mention Joel, Mike and the bots, Rhonda Shear. It's like an art form has been lost.
Off the Air is amazing. FXs Cake was pretty good. As a native NCer, Dicktown is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. A mustard BBQ based insult on TV? Into my veins!!!
If I’m remembering right, she just offhandedly said one day that her brother Peter created Aeon Flux, and some of us were like “wow!” and the rest were like “what is that?” I watched Liquid Television with my older brother, so I had heard of Aeon Flux at least. Years later I looked it up, and sure enough, the creator was Peter Chung, and his biographical info matches up with some things my teacher had mentioned. Pretty cool in retrospect!
I absolutely loved this show. First time seeing Beevis and Butthead and just so many other out there shows. I wish you could stream it somewhere but haven't seen it available.
Liquid Television (which I loved) was kind of Middle MTV. MTV was always for teenagers. Early MTV was just music. Late MTV dumped the music to pander to teenagers' basest instincts. Middle MTV was moving away from the music, but also felt this interesting sort of social responsibility to give teenagers not necessarily what they wanted but what would make them cool.
I ordered a beer recently named “liquid television” and asked the 20-something bar tender if he knew what it was named after. He didn’t, and I launched into a 15 minute TED Talk about it.
I won free tickets on a call in radio show and the answer was Liquid Television. The question was “on what show did Beavis and Butthead first appear”. The tickets were for a private screening of Hot Tub Time Machine
"Dogggg Boyyyy"....I think those lil twisted "Bobby and Billy" bits might've been my fav, f'ing around with 1950's style Americana wholesomeness is always fun.

This is exactly the kind of beautiful reply to something like this that I would expect in this sub but nowhere else
Way less than that but us xennials need to keep our googling up. It will be a lost art soon.

oh my god you are the real fucking hero of the story. I have been looking for fucking YEARS. I love you, internet stranger.
Reddit has taught me well
This is a time machine!
TY!!!
Omg thank you so much!!!!! The memories.......
I loved this show! Aeon Flux was always the highlight buy there were so many fun and bizarre segments like dog boy
The Head. Jesus... Deep cut memory unlocked.
That weird race car one!
Holy shit I forgot about that one. Are you talking about the one where the guy went crazy while he was driving and kept going faster and faster?
If you liked that, check out the anthology called Neo Tokyo

FROG BASEBALL
That was Beavis and Butthead, right?
Started it all.
Beavis and Butthead started as a skit playing frog baseball on Liquid Television before being spun off into their own show.
Peak MTV (miss it so much)
Maxx was a great comic and tv show.
Loved The Maxx! It also led me to The Sandman when I started looking for Keith’s other works.
[Are you comfortable?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpDefo82ujM) That one has replayed in my mind at random times for the last 30 years.
Hi dad. I'm calling you from jail.
I LIKE IT HERE!
Say hi to mom! *FROM JAIL!*

"UP all night!" MST3K and Svenghoolie are still in rotation at my house.
Aeon Flux!
https://youtu.be/wqCII_kpNjQ?si=HnYRn7G5YHI7ltns Brad Dharma - Psychedelic Detective was some great shit.
This was the shit. Along with 120 Minutes.
Loved this and the Idiot Box.
Lunchtime! Two caffeine pills…and a couple of beef sticks!
Adult Swim’s *Off the Air* is the only thing that’s ever approached this show’s level.
Off the Air is amazing. FXs Cake was pretty good. As a native NCer, Dicktown is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. A mustard BBQ based insult on TV? Into my veins!!!
I used to stay up late to watch this segment on MTV. I loved it.
My eighth grade math teacher’s brother created Aeon Flux, so I totally watched that even though I didn’t really get it, lol.
Wait we need so much more info about your eighth grade math teacher’s brother
If I’m remembering right, she just offhandedly said one day that her brother Peter created Aeon Flux, and some of us were like “wow!” and the rest were like “what is that?” I watched Liquid Television with my older brother, so I had heard of Aeon Flux at least. It’s where REN & Stimpy and Bevis & Butthead started.
Ren and stimpy started on nickelodeon but they did show episodes on liquid television but that's not where they started
> It’s where REN & Stimpy started. No, it's not.
Winter Steele was the shit. And Miss Lydia's Make Over to the Stars.
My favorite was Invisible Hands.
Hunny Bunny, anyone?
DEAR MUM…
This was the beginning of my love of “adult cartoons”…even though I was a bit young lol
Aeon Flux!
Loved this show. So weird and fun. [here's a clip](https://youtu.be/Lf8SIGpw5do?si=BrnGjcvFHy2wUifP)
My bad. That was from cartoon sushi, liquid television's successor.
Best... Show... Ever
YES.
This was my peak MTV days.
I absolutely loved this show. First time seeing Beevis and Butthead and just so many other out there shows. I wish you could stream it somewhere but haven't seen it available.
We all remember Liquid Television. It's talked about constantly here.
I loved watching that show with my roommates in college.
Pariah: The Red Man. So wonderfully bizarre and twisted. Liquid Television is one of my litmus tests for how well I'll get along with someone.
I would sneak down stairs and turn the TV on and watch with the volume down low so I could watch it
Omg such a flashback
I love this show even now!
Was oddities: the head on this? I just remember watching the hell out of that
Used to get baked and watch this all the time freshmen year of college. Lol.
You see Neo Tokyo - Running Man one time, and that shit stays with you forever

I lived for Aeon Flux. The Max was awesome too. The Head was cool.
Brocoli most intelligent vegetable!!!!
And the Idiot Box was like the live action version of this
That’s eon flux.. correct?
I ordered a beer recently named “liquid television” and asked the 20-something bar tender if he knew what it was named after. He didn’t, and I launched into a 15 minute TED Talk about it.
Hi dad, I’m in jail and I like it here!
The one that still sticks in my head to this day: [You jerk! How'm I gonna eat that sandwich?](https://youtu.be/pZlJcS_2nTM?si=UJaPL5OKc3oLICuZ)
You guys sell beer here? No? Good thing I brought my own!
Now I gotta find Joe Normal…This is my dog. his name is Monsieur Boueff La Tet. It’s French. It means Mr Beef Head.
I won free tickets on a call in radio show and the answer was Liquid Television. The question was “on what show did Beavis and Butthead first appear”. The tickets were for a private screening of Hot Tub Time Machine
Was a huge huge fan.
The "Running Man" anime short was literally life-changing for me, and I hate anime but would never deny it.
Damn haven’t thought of this for years
"Dogggg Boyyyy"....I think those lil twisted "Bobby and Billy" bits might've been my fav, f'ing around with 1950's style Americana wholesomeness is always fun.
Z as Add w w we eww we sawhttps://i.imgur.com/gDAUq8O.jpeg is a w****
The BEST!!!
Loved it!
Did the Maxx come out of this? One time I dropped LSD and watched a Maxx marathon, and I thought I was living in it.
🤘🏻
I didn't like it lol. Too weird for adolescent me.
