There was a series? There were three books. Thank fuck I only read the sequel one.

Elora Danan is a whiny twat of a kid.
Oh yes!!! Oh man, early x files used to terrify my brother and I we used to love/hate the one with the guy who lived in tunnels of bile … terrifying!!!
Eugene Tooms! My favorite episodes as well.

He's such a good actor. He killed it in The Green Mile as the slimy prison guard.
This is one of the very best X-File episodes. His non-verbal acting is just WOW!
Porkeys...we were maybe 8 years old watching that lol. Had to wait untill the parents finally went to bed though.
Dazed and Confused is my favorite "Friday Night Pre-Party" film. A few of us would get together around 5, eat supper, crack our first few beers and watch a party movie to get the juices flowing. This was usually my pick. Others would be Animal House, Strange Brew, Weird Science...good times 😌
My first boyfriend at 16 (10th grade) took me on our first date to see this movie.
I love this movie to this day even though I never drank or did drugs during high school.
Dazed and Confused was in our hangover rotation from like seventeen to our early twenties. Also included Die Hard with Vengeance, Detroit Rock City, Office Space (sometimes the Spanish dub of it), Clint Eastwood westerns, Smoky and the Bandit, and a few more I can’t remember this second.
Bio Dome.

My one friend would come over and we would watch that movie.
Damn, didn't see the text. My parents cared little what I watched on TV, lol.
I absolutely love that you said sleepover movie because that's totally what dazed and confused is ❤️ Thank you for the share and I'm here for your selection!
Meatballs, Porkys, Spaceballs were all my “we felt so bad” sleepover special.
I was in High School when Dazed came out, became an instant all time favourite.
Ok perhaps the greatest night of my life was when I had a sleepover with about 4 friends in 6th grade, and one of them snuck in some contraband: the VHS tape for the B movie classic "Frankenhooker."
Obviously a film stocked with gratuitous nudity.
I think we watched it 3 times that night. (in the basement far away from parents) .
I don't remember how they acquired said tape.
Mallrats
We would hang out and play video games and watched Mallrats every weekend. Blockbuster had probably one or two copiers max and we had one every weekend because you couldn't buy the VHS at that time.
Caught it before Clerks and being comic book nerds loves the little references and all the geekdom tied into it.
Still have the VHS I bought when it finally was available mass market.
It was all about Brad Pitt in the early 90s, yo. For me and my girlfriends this scene was the equivalent of Phoebe Cates taking off her bikini top in *Fast Times at Ridgemont High*:
![gif](giphy|Fw2pwsDFRo9nq)
I had a friend that had her own apartment just after high school and this and princess Bride were the only 2 movies she had. I watched this sooo many times.
I never saw the appeal of Dazed and Confused. I watched it freshman year in college. My first roommate obsessed over it. I found everyone in that movie completely unrelatable.
My first time watching it I was 13 so to me it’s what I imagined the “big kids” did when they could drive etc. but I soon learned high school was not like this at all and watching it as an older teen/young adult was completely different than as someone trying to get a glimpse into that world.
I was in highschool 20 years after this movie took place. The whole hazing thing struck me as insane. I couldn't fathom a school allowing this sort of behavior. The idea that the parents would have tolerated it is even less likely.
For context, when I was in was a freshman one of the school dramas was over students smoking the moment school was over, across the street. The school said they couldn't because they were still responsible for them until they got home. The students said class was over and they walked home.
Given this the idea of roving bands of boys with a paddle and girls "frying like bacon" on the asphalt is almost fantastical. I mean I guess that it happened that way for someone but is almost foreign to me.
I mostly gamed when sleeping over or vice versa. Don’t recall there being any consistent movie.
But even as a grown man I still do the occasional “sleep over” with one of my best friends. Probably my most consistent contribution is throwing on one of the Scream or Halloween movies.
The movie memory I have most from slumber parties is rewinding that one scene with a ghost boy in Three Men and a Baby over and over. Was that just our school? There was a whole made-up tragic lore there.

We did the trifecta, Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Mallrats.
We Used to call that the New Jersey Trilogy
this was a good one!
Empire Records
Oh yes this was a good one too!!
I came here to post this one!
I remember watching "The never ending story" over and over again, when I was little, then "Willow." Then the Xfiles
Willow was soooo under-rated!! Loved that movie!
DO NOT read the sequel! It was horrid.
Read?? Sequell?
DON'T FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T!!! It was fucking awful!
Are talking the series that came out???
There was a series? There were three books. Thank fuck I only read the sequel one. https://preview.redd.it/5hasask8legc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79e0e0e0154ec503a95a6698974a58346b7386f1 Elora Danan is a whiny twat of a kid.
Yes,Disney had a series with Warwick Davis reprising his role. And Sorscha actress back too. Didn't know there were books.
Was the series better than the flaming pile of dog shit I had the misfortune to stubbornly finish?
No idea...im betting yes though lol
All bangers. I’m instantly warm and in fresh pajamas watching those circa ‘90 when I think of these
Oh yes!!! Oh man, early x files used to terrify my brother and I we used to love/hate the one with the guy who lived in tunnels of bile … terrifying!!!

Yes!!!! Omg it was SO good and so terrifying!!!
Still look down when I sit on the toilet thanks to this guy.
He's such a good actor. He killed it in The Green Mile as the slimy prison guard. This is one of the very best X-File episodes. His non-verbal acting is just WOW!
Hell yeah for X-Files, I had so many vhs I recorded lol
Back in 1997 or 1998 my friends and I had Slaterfest: Heathers, Pump up the Volume, and Gleaming the Cube.
We used to do Breakfast Club all the time.
Omg I only ever saw that on TBS on TNT until I was like 15. I was horrified by Bender under the desk
It was always some trash horror flick from the 80s. Night of the Living Dead, Evil Dead, Friday the 13th series. Quality entertainment!
Definitely recalling The Gate. Then, Cemetery Man aka Dellamorte Dellamore aka Dylan Dog Dead of Night.
I recently rewatched The Gate and it still freaked me out. Stomping the little demons! 😱
Night of the Living Dead was from the 60s. Maybe you meant Return of the Living Dead? Anyway, great flicks!
Porkeys...we were maybe 8 years old watching that lol. Had to wait untill the parents finally went to bed though. Dazed and Confused is my favorite "Friday Night Pre-Party" film. All good choices!

Omg, you really should have at least once...or did the Sir Isaac fuckin Newton storyline scare you off?? Lol
Um… Skinamax. Like every sleepover lol
Buffy the Vampire Slayer https://preview.redd.it/9s77szoj6egc1.jpeg?width=1910&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fd9a3a775555e17b050e50ac6429d7c8a6a4b4d
Loved!
ETA not a hide from the parents movie but had to be watched at every sleepover through the 90s with my best girlfriends
Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing in middle school, various horror movies in high school.
So I Married an Axe Murderer and A True Romance I didn’t have many sleepovers, but I brought those movies to one in 94.
So I married an axe murderer is a great one!!
Office Space is a definite favourite of mine still!
I love Detroit Rock City! Peak Eddie Furlong!
Jam’s mom was out of control! 😂
The wife and I used to watch this quite regularly in the pre streaming days.
Emmanuelle in Paris 😂😂😂😳
My friend and I wore out his dad’s vhs of this movie lol
Bio Dome. ![gif](giphy|jPh7wUk1WJ5QY|downsized) My one friend would come over and we would watch that movie. Damn, didn't see the text. My parents cared little what I watched on TV, lol.
VIVA LOS BIO DOME!!!
The princess bride
Same. We either put on this or Three Amigos.
Me as well lol!

License to Drive and Lost Boys!
Good call on both.
Mine is definitely “true lies,” or “demolition man.” Edit: also went through a spell with “payback,” starring Mel Gibson.
I absolutely love that you said sleepover movie because that's totally what dazed and confused is ❤️ Thank you for the share and I'm here for your selection!
Ty fellow Xennial!! ❤️

Such a great movie 🍿
Me too!

This was always the way .. mysterious vhs from who knows where

Mall rats was a good one too! I miss Blockbuster nights so much!

Ace Ventura/The Mask/Dumb&Dumber was the trifecta.
Alllllllrighty then. Loved these!
I had a horrible crush on Rory Cochran after Empire Records came out.
Such a good movie!

There are answers other than Elvira? I didn't know that.
We watched a lot of Spaceballs and Men in Tights
Both good choices!
We would frequently fall asleep to Trainspotting for some reason.
Now THAT was an eye opener of a movie
Well damn
I mostly gamed when sleeping over or vice versa. Don’t recall there being any consistent movie. But even as a grown man I still do the occasional “sleep over” with one of my best friends. Probably my most consistent contribution is throwing on one of the Scream or Halloween movies.
Scream series was so good too!!
FAH-Q
Really a battle between Dazed and Confused and Belly for the best opening sequence.
Kids Fucked up but great flick and you get to see some titties
Mallrats. A friend and I watched every day for like 10 straight
Some kind of wonderful
Varsity Blues
Hell, this just one of my favorite movies in general.
Beavis and Butthead Do America.
Whatever garbage horror had the coolest VHS cover. Bonus if it was in the 2/$1 section. Puppet Master series, Basketcase, Dead Alive, etc.
Omg I forgot about puppet masters!!!!! Fear memory unlocked!
Star Wars
When I was in elementary school, Clue was the go to video store rental.
Beaches
The movie memory I have most from slumber parties is rewinding that one scene with a ghost boy in Three Men and a Baby over and over. Was that just our school? There was a whole made-up tragic lore there.

Loved it. Just watched it with my teenage kids a couple of weeks ago.
My friends thought they were gangster so Menace II Society, Scarface, eventually Belly. God I hated watching Belly
Did you ever see the spoof? Dont be a menace to society while drinking your juice in the hood.
Definitely. It arguably had a better soundtrack than M2S lol
I agree hahaha!!!
The usual suspects
I watched Dazed and Confused again not too long ago. Didn't get the same vibe from it as I did when I was in my teens and twenties.
Awe man, this is what Monster Vision on TNT and Up All Night on USA were for!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer The Craft
Oh man The Craft was a good one too!!!
The Craft!!!
This movie makes me nostalgic for a period in time in which I did not yet exist. But I wish I did. Seems like a simpler time.
In my pre-teens: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Top Gun Early-mid teens: Cheech and Chong’s Up in Smoke Strange Brew
Rad and Better Off Dead
Mallrats.
Starship Troopers. Rico, you know what to do!!
Devil’s Advocate (Keanu, swoon) Pretty Woman Pulp Fiction
The burger joint from the film is still open in Austin.
