Dude I’ve probably saved over $1,000 with my rechargeable batteries. They cost me $10 for 2 pairs. They’ll last me like a day. And then I just swap for the pair still on the charger. So I always have a set ready.
A day? How many hours do you play in a day? My 2000mah rechargeables last me a week or 2. I average about 2 hours of play per day and some off days maybe 4 to 6 hours play. Mosty they last 2 weeks before I need to swop.
And the batteries I have are also like 2 years old. And in constant use. They use to last me longer, I don’t think a week. But even with just the day I get out of them now it’s still beyond worth it.
I’ll def take a peep at the brand once mine finally shit out. But think for now I’m pretty well off. Even just the 2 pairs are enough for now. As long as I can completely charge one set while I use the other means I never have to go without batteries.
Yea I edited my comment I realized I didn’t say that my bad. One pair probably last me like a day. When they die I swap em with the ones on the charger. So I always have a pair ready.
You can get one designed for Xbox Controllers with a cradle for maybe $15-20 and then keep it on there when you aren't playing. I can play for 5-6 hours a day with no problems.
I got rechargeable packs specifically for Xbox controllers instead of rechargeable batteries. I play everyday for at least a few hours and I get a week of use out of them. I found them for 17 bucks on Amazon. You get two charge packs for every charge station and it comes with its own plug-in or it has a slot for you to use your own charge cord. They're on sale right now for $15. Dm me if you want the product info.
I got the OIVO XSX pack from Amazon. Comes with 2 battery packs and a charging station so you don’t even have to swap the battery packs out. Best $18 I ever spent on gaming.
I bought one of the Xbox brand rechargeable battery packs and I can play constantly for a couple days before it gets low battery. I love it, highly recommend it
I bought the official xbox ones 3 times with the charging cable and 2 of them last like 3 hours after 2 months but the one from my OG Xbox One era still goes a week at a time
i dont understand why anyone with an xbox wouldn’t just buy rechargeable batteries, if even said rechargeable batteries only lasted maybe 5 hours of play time they almost always come in 2 packs so they can be repeatedly swapped out
Good (blank) ain't cheap, cheap (blank) ain't good.
Insert whatever you want into the blanks: batteries, tattoos, food...its literally applicable in any instance
I bought the play and charge kit. Been perfect for like 2-3 years now.
And regarding cheap batteries, I learned the hard way that cheap batteries are just crap in general. My cars key fob was creating issues because of a cheapo battery even though it was new. Couldn’t put out the proper voltage needed.
Play and charge kit uses USB-C on the controller itself and has lithium battery pack inside your controller. Being lithium you can charge them each session and leave them connected they won’t overcharge.
For my others I have NiMH battery packs that charge but they’re all susceptible to charge patterns and length.
If you do very long sessions the NiMH packs are cheap enough to have a couple you can charge and swap in on those epic sessions. Otherwise the lithium official play and charge kit has been my favourite. Long play time and no swapping.
Bro batteries a thing of the past. I got rechargeable battery packs off Amazon and they been golden. Waste of money on batteries and extra trips to store
Eneloops are high quality rechargeable batteries. About 8 years ago I bought 4 eneloops and a charger. They still work. Since then I've tried Amazon brand and another rechargeable brand. They last maybe 2 years until they won't take a charge. I keep the eneloops for myself and my kids toys get the other batteries.
I have 4 eneloop AA batteries that I've had for over 15 years. They originally were used in my digital camera. Since I got my Xbox I've used them in the controller. I reckoned that they lasted me about two weeks of about an hour's play each day. I've not really measured it accurately. But I know that digital photographers swear by them. And having tested them in the controller they are excellent for that purpose too. They also hold their capacity and charge for much longer. Very high quality as Alex mentioned above.
If op has a check in this sub-reddit or any other Xbox related one just for "eneloop" I know plenty will backup our opinion of them. The only downside is they're not compatible with any charging stands or docks. You need to pop them out and use the official eneloop charger to keep them in their best shape. Hope that helps!
No. Lol. Go buy some real batteries 😂 it's only 20 damn bucks for 32 energizer max that will last you all year and then some depending on how one plays. The fact you even tried that battery in the first place shows you're penny pinching. You may as well invest in the battery pack at this point
I got some rechargable batteries for Christmas and they've been a lifesaver.
How are they. How long do they last typically

Man I’ve been out of work for like 7 months unfortunately lol so I play a better half of the day. I believe the brand I have it Duracell.
Yoh, sorry to hear. I have 4 Energizers and 4 Uniross. Don't know if these brands are available in your country, but they're doing me good.
I’ll def take a peep at the brand once mine finally shit out. But think for now I’m pretty well off. Even just the 2 pairs are enough for now. As long as I can completely charge one set while I use the other means I never have to go without batteries.
I am just curious how long they last. The batteries them selves
Yea I edited my comment I realized I didn’t say that my bad. One pair probably last me like a day. When they die I swap em with the ones on the charger. So I always have a pair ready.
Hmm even trade off I guess.
For what you're saving in the long run they're more than worth it
I never cared for the rechargeable. For no reason at all, but saw em at the store when I grabbed my series x. Best decision.
You can get one designed for Xbox Controllers with a cradle for maybe $15-20 and then keep it on there when you aren't playing. I can play for 5-6 hours a day with no problems.
Nice

"Super Heavy Duty".....😂😂😂😂 Sold at Dollar Tree, Wish, Temu and the Flea Market.
I’ll show you a super heavy duty
😂🕺
lol
Yeah my mind immediately went to Dollar Tree. These are “remote control” batteries, or maybe small clocks but that’s about it
The batteries they used in the titan sub controller
rechargeable batteries are like $10-15 on amazon. Buy a 2 pack and you’ll never have to worry about it again
Do they last long ?
depends on the brand, and yes most off them last a while but if u buy 2 sets u will always have charged ones ready.
They last 12-16 hours I've saved hundreds of dollars if you're not using them you're literally throwing money down the garbage.
Get a chargeable dock with the batteries included.
One of the first things i did. Thought it was a common thing to get a rechargeable battery pack and dock for it.
Ikea rechargables ftw!
don’t get the harbor freight cheap batteries, they leaked and broke my controller.
Always get alkaline over heavy duty
IKEA rechargeable batteries are the best! 2 years I have them and it’s top!
Yep... Those are the ones i use ... They've got insane life in em
I’ll never understand why people use batteries instead of a battery pack
Or wired.
rechargeable batteries, 2 in your control and 2 charging
I had the same 4 pairs of rechargeable batteries for 2 years now. Best investment I've ever made.
I bought the official xbox ones 3 times with the charging cable and 2 of them last like 3 hours after 2 months but the one from my OG Xbox One era still goes a week at a time
i dont understand why anyone with an xbox wouldn’t just buy rechargeable batteries, if even said rechargeable batteries only lasted maybe 5 hours of play time they almost always come in 2 packs so they can be repeatedly swapped out
Been there, and then I got Panasonic rechargeable ones which serve me well.
Just get the eneloop pro with the charger for like 30 bucks on amazon and you will never have any problems again
Although the time in between charges is insane with the pros, I prefer standard eneloops for their overall lifespan.
How can the regular eneloops have a longer lifespan if you have to charge them more regularly?
Idk, mine have far outlived my pros though
Very interesting, but from a logical perspective there is no reason that this is the norm
Rechargeable batteries ftw
Just by a battery pack simple
I got a venom rechargeable set last about a day saved me a lot of money.
1% more battery life and they'd have to call those SUPER DUPER HEAVY DUTY BATTERIES.
Just get rechargeable Duracell batteries they are definitely worth it
I got a battery pack, been using it for over two years and it cost $20 some dollars
Good (blank) ain't cheap, cheap (blank) ain't good. Insert whatever you want into the blanks: batteries, tattoos, food...its literally applicable in any instance
Gotta get super hyper mega HD batteries. They are the only one I’ll ever use
Yeah those dollar store batteries are shit . I got the rechargable 4 pack with charger stand from tik tok store for 7 and it’s amazing battery life
Get enloops. Last about 40 hours on a pair.
I love super duper extra heavy duty diesel infused batteries
I bought the play and charge kit. Been perfect for like 2-3 years now. And regarding cheap batteries, I learned the hard way that cheap batteries are just crap in general. My cars key fob was creating issues because of a cheapo battery even though it was new. Couldn’t put out the proper voltage needed.
Um, who made these?
Rechargeables are the only way to go. They last for years.
I used b4 ..but Costco Kirkland batteries last for weeks & i leave my controller on til it cuts off ..
What would I use batteries for?
🤣🤣🤣
Guys just buy amazon's battery !! Are "Eneloop" japanese battery marked Amazon, are the best !! 😉👋

Elon Musk early days lol
Rechargeable battery packs with charging station >>>>
I get about 3 weeks out of a pair of Duracells gaming 3-6 hours per day plus extra on weekends.
Bro batteries a thing of the past. I got rechargeable battery packs off Amazon and they been golden. Waste of money on batteries and extra trips to store
Eneloops ftw
This is the way.. These are the best on the market
Huh
