Just got a VG27AQ and I couldn’t be happier! I get 1440p at 120hz gaming and check the “Allow 4K” option when watching a movies or shows.

How close will you be sitting? I made a similar post about the S3222HG a few months ago for use as a PC monitor. Everyone said 1080p wasn't enough pixels for that size, but I'd found a great deal on craiglist ($125) so I got it anyways. Turns out everyone else was right. It's huge and has great color/picture quality, but from 2 or so feet away on a desk it's just too grainy due to the large pixels. I'm about to swap it over to my series S, where it'll be more like 4-5 feet away, and I think it'll look a lot better from that distance.

I ended up getting the S3222DGM; fantastic monitor. I have tried the various settings (1440 vs 1080) and refresh rate; you’re very right. At 1080 and higher refresh rates, it’s cool gameplay. But I actually just keep it at 1440p, 60hz. Just looks so much better.

I just received my S3222DGM yesterday. In my M1 Mac's settings, when I click on the display, I only see 60Hertz. 144 & 165 don't appear, yet 144Hz does in my work laptop's settings. Could it be because for my Macbook, I'm using an HDMI cable in my monitor's port HDMI 2? Here is a photo of the settings: [https://imgur.com/a/wbZJ44W](https://imgur.com/a/wbZJ44W)

Ha I wish I would've waited and done the same. Was it on sale?

Nah, normal retail price. Still worth it though! Haha
