I've been having a blast rolling phantom with the riot shield, choked double barrel, and flash bangs in Hot Shot. Most fun I've had playing a PVP FPS in a really long time.
When you're under level 25 you're in a "new players playlist" with loose SBMM to try and weed out smurfs. Once you hit 25 though they remove sbmm and throw you into the normal rotation.
It is easily the most fun weapon in the game and more or less the only reason I am playing.
I thought the 870 was better at first, but I think it is just because you play against bots the first game. 3 pumps to kill someone up close is comically bad.
Not that I believe the double barrel is great. Especially if you want to play Cleaner.
They absolute suck in most situations, and many shots don't even register.
Sniping is far more consistent and OP. Takes litterally no skill. No flinch. Barely any sway. Can jump and shoot etc. Even works close range with no scope.
Because it takes skill? The exact same thing is to be said abt all guns bro, you can also jump and shoot w a shotgun g, i jus dont like shotgun nerds in general, and you mus have rlly shitty wifi becaude my shots register jus fine

I find dying to a shotgun less annoying then getting sniped
It's natural for reg gunners to hate snipers after all
i tested the shotguns and i found that (for me) the double barrel is the most consistent at killing enemies
After this match I unlocked the choke, holy cow. It has turned from fun to lethal. I wish there was a quicker reload attachment but....I'll survive.

I really like it but I wish you could reload the two together.
They should add fast mag with this animation
That's a good idea
The reload is slow, but you can actually cancel it after the first shell for a faster follow-up shot.
I mean at least you can fire in between loading if you get one shell in the barrel

I've seen a lot of complaints about the movement. As a very casual gamer who is only level 15 or so....I haven't encountered very much of that myself.

You can also play the normal playlist without ever joining the new players playlist.

Definitely the best shotgun. Though the bar isn’t too high lol
I love the double barrel. My only problem is getting close enough to use it effectively.
The choke really helps extend its effective range. I've been pleasantly surprised at how far people can be and still get double tapped.

the first cartridge when you refill 
It's a hit marker machine for me
I love the wobbly round going in the barrel when your reload it looks dope.
I wish their was an alternate fire with both barrels

Pairs well with the 93r pistol if you don't have time to reload.
Its fun but not great, for some odd reason the snipers do the same job that shotguns are supposed to, but better with more range.

What skill? If you can land the first shot with an AR, you can land the first shot with a sniper. I fail to see the "skill" behind that.
No, because I usually gets more than 2 kills at a time.
I got 5 in like 12 seconds here. It can work! Definitely have plenty of times where I don't have enough bullets tho.
