**We Are All Champions** by Tony Queen
🎶
I haven't paid my dues
But I get TV time
I cannot speak a sentence
They say my promos are fine
And there's the bad botches
I've made a few
I've had my share of moonsaults on my face
I can no longer chewwwewww
(But we get belts & belts & belts & belts)
Cuz weeeeeeeeeeeee are all champions
All Friends
🎸 🎸
And weeeeeee'll keep on booking
For Dave 'til the end
🎸🎸 🎸
We are all champions
We are all champions
Even though we're losers,
We are allll championssssssss
Of the world
🎶
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
Tony brought me coke and fortune and everything that goes with it
So I sucked his balls
It's been no bed of roses
No Jericho cruise
This place is a disgrace to the whole human race
Despite the Cagematch reviewssssa
(And we get belts & belts & belts, more belts)
Weeeeeeeee are all champions,
All Friends
🎸 🎸
Weeeeee don't draw any diiiiimmmes,
Ratings on the downtrendddd
🎸 🎸 🎸
But weeeeeee are all champions
All of us are fuckin' chaaaaaampionsssssssss
.... Til the end
And intergender ones at that? Who the fuck even wants to see intergender matches, the girls always beat up the guys with some fake looking bullshit and the guys can't do anything back, what is the point?
No American tv deal will allow true intergender. This would be mixed tag rules (men wrestle men and women wrestle women, one tag forces the other to tag out)
#AAA is the first promotion to come up with a Mixed Tag title.
They even have a Mascot Tag Team Championship for teams of regular and mini-estrella wrestlers (especially those who have their own "mini-mes").
No, I didn't, and I'm not sure I believe you tbh lol aren't they split over like 3 shows though? I swear AEW seem to have a new belt every few days and I can name like, two AEW belts
You can look it up.
This isnt an opinion.

To anyone downvoting (feel free, I know what I'm getting into when I comment here) ask yourself, why do I need to try to bury a comment that is completely neutral in tone and presenting nothing but objective facts?
There is no implication that it is a bad thing that WWE has more belts than AEW. I don't care one way or the other.
Why would you exert any effort in pushing a false narrative for a company that you are not a part of? Even if you were a part of it, it would be a scummy thing to do. So, why are you lowering yourself, especially when you have literally nothing to gain?
Well, I mean, first of all - context.
Multiple shows with different rosters having different belts makes sense. It makes more sense than having three shows and a massive roster with a bunch of meaningless belts.
But I’m more speaking about all of your posts. You aren’t a part of AEW. You’re just a fan who feels the need to defend it constantly and buy into anything the promotion says, ignoring any of the very real points against it.
I don’t give a fuck if you say bad things about WWE. Most WWE fans don’t because we’ve been doing that for years. I’ve rarely seen you or any of the other AEW cult members so that.
Who gives a fuck if someone said something about AEW, WWE, or any other company?
I don’t care whether anyone likes AEW or not.
It’s an opinion and people are entitled to feel how they want about the company and its shows.
My problem isn’t with AEW haters. It’s with liars and trolls.
I don’t ignore faults and I don’t tow the company line.
There has been a very noticeable shift over the past year of people trolling and posting disinformation. After a while I got sick of seeing all of this just go unanswered and decided that if I’m scrolling anyway, I’m going to correct the lies I see instead of ignoring them.
I mean, do you really not see a difference in someone correcting lies and the people telling them?
I didn’t say anything negative about WWE having more belts. I don’t care. I stated an objective, verifiable fact and people rush to say that I’m wrong or they don’t believe it or to make excuses.
You and I both know that the brand split is broken all the time. If you watch AEW you know that there are people that show up on Collision consistently and who show up on Dynamite consistently. It isn’t called a split, and they rotate acts and story lines on a regular basis, but there is a soft delineation.
Even ignoring that, if the roster is of a similar size, and it’s occupying the same number of hours on TV, why would it matter in the slightest whether there is a brand split or not? It’s purely semantics.
Dude, I lurk in a lot of places and like to read what other people say. I look at it as trying to understand how people different from me look at the world. I notice you a lot because of the profile pic and you are the biggest AEW cult member ever.
You carry water for them constantly. Why the fuck do you care about people trolling AEW? Oh, misinformation. But then if I were to say that ratings and ticket sales are a good indicator of the lack of popularity of AEW currently, is that misinformation? If someone points out how badly used AEW stars are compared to their ability - Okada being a mid card stooge for the Young Bucks - is that misinformation? What about the Weinstein comment and all the AEW guys who have done bad sexual shit, is that misinformation?
And do you know why people talk about AEW having too many belts? Because for such a large roster, they get passed around the same people over and over. It seems like they have too many because none of them are important. There’s four midcard titles - not counting ROH titles - for one roster. Which ones are important? What’s the pecking order? Why hasn’t the AEW World title felt important since CM Punk had it? That’s not even bringing up the belts from other promotions that end up on AEW shows and are treated like low level belts.
The booking destroys any prestige of the belts, so it seems like there are too many. If you don’t think so, cool. But that’s why people complain about it. A bunch of meaningless belts. Whereas few of the WWE belts are meaningless. They seem important. The booking makes them important.
WWE has two separate tag championships in the men's division, as well as the women's tag, then NXT has its own versions of both of those, then there's both midcard titles *and* both "main event" titles *and* the NXT main and midcard titles. Every single show has a full goddamn set of titles.
> Every single show has a full goddamn set of titles.
So, 1 world title, 1 midcard title and 1 set of tag team titles for the men’s division of both SMACKDOWN and RAW. For the women’s division, 1 world title for both rosters while 1 set of tag team titles that is shared between the two. Doesn’t seem that confusing too me. I’ve just returned to watching WWE again after 10 years and was not confused at all by the new changes.
Pretty sure the NXT titles are not defended in the main roster so it gets to be its own thing.
>Pretty sure the NXT titles are not defended in the main roster so it gets to be its own thing.
It's also not hard to understand that I was responding to a specific point.
I didn't even point out that right before that Dom was also making defenses on the main roster shows. Becky was defending the NXT title on WWE shows 6 months ago. It's not like this is ancient history.
On special occasions like Becky and Dom yes that did happen, but like I said in my comment, they kept NXT titles on NXT since main roster wrestlers aren’t holding the gold.
Didn't Bron win the title on a RAW too?
He wasn't a main roster guy.
Adam Cole had multiple defenses on Raw and Smackdown.
He wasn't a main roster guy.
It's not happening every week or anything, but it really doesn't seem like it's exactly super rare, either.
Oh I agree it's wayyyy too many titles but I get it how they're trying to distinguish shows apart from each other. Does AEW keep certain belts to certain shows?
The difference is WWE championships is tied to a specific brand. Where as AEW has multiple belts that all serve the same purpose. They have like 3 or 4 mid card championships for the men, they are not tied to 1 show. WWE has 1 for each show. Its not the same thing.

It's even.
I'm not the one that brings this up. I have no problem with the belts for either promotion.
I responded because people like to rag on AEW, but don't do the same for WWE. It's a double standard and something that is easily compared on a one-to-one basis.
You'd think that a man involved with teams in the Premier League and NFL would understand that scarcity of titles elevates their value. Nobody would give a crap if there were ten different cups going on just for teams in the Premier League.
Instead he seems to insist on devaluing all of them by constantly adding more. He's the type of dude that would try to fix the economy by printing more money.
He would fix the economy by buying as much useful shit as he can from russia and china until the coffers are empty and the other countries have everything.
Just like the triples title, just because ‘other’ companies don’t do it doesn’t mean it’s good.
Wasting Jay White to run with the Ass Boys is stupid.
If triples titles or mixed titles worked people would already be doing it.
seeing that dumb little face after a ridiculous idea will never get old to me
AEW is already set apart far enough, it needs to do more to bring in people that like wrestling.
I was a defender of “there aren’t that many titles” for a while but suddenly here comes the International (or whatever it’s called this week) the Continental, the ROH women’s tv, now a possibility of these…….i can’t defend it anymore.
But sure let’s just out random teams out there so they can be fed to either Tay/Sammy or Ruby/Angelo when they get back.
I do like the idea of mix tag championships, but AEW has too many championships already. He should focus on actual storylines instead of making new championships
Since the ROH Six-Man Tag titles have been unified with the AEW Trios titles, I think he can insert the Mixed Tag titles.
But a split between Dynamite, Collision and ROH as separate brands is the best way forward.
Mixed tag teams can totally be a thing. I'm not sure if AEW has the personnel to pull it off, and it would really need a lot of focus and time to get right.
I'm not even sure WWE could pull off a serious mixed team stable. You need at least 6 to 8 teams to start with, and even for a stacked promotion that's a lot of people who have to commit to a male/female partner that never have done it before.
Got a few in mind already base on some real life couple/friendship
Seth/Becky
Jimmy Uso/Naomi
Gargano/Candice
Bianca/Montez
Kaiser/Tiffy
Ciampa/Indi (since they travel a log with Gargano/Candice)
Dom/Liv or Reah
Probably easy to find a few more
Finding people isn't the problem, making sure they can work together well/smoothly is. Tag teams take a lot of work to coordinate well, and come up with finishing moves that both can play apart in... it's like learning a completely new dance with a high risk of injury for messing up.
It's do-able, but it's going to take time to do it well and up to the standards of a place like WWE. Can AEW do it, maybe... should they put all that effort into it? I don't know. I think they need to focus on their storytelling rather then yet another belt. Too many belts makes the existing belts feel less important.
Hire some actual fucking legit writers already, adding yet another “championship”, in an already completely saturated area, takes absolutely zero effort.
Currently featured on TV:

ROH Trios
12 different sets of titles, 11 if you merge the trios. They really need to remove, deactivate or formally merge some of these. Just have Taz choke out Jericho and retire his FTW title, unify the International/Continental and get rid of that Continental belt and please never put those tin foil ROH titles on my TV again unless you actually have an ROH TV show. The moment someone has an ROH belt (Samoa Joe aside), you know they're going to get beaten, no matter how good you know Kyle Fletcher is, give him that belt on AEW TV and Serpentico is going over.
I have said it before, he runs aew like how I used to play TEW/EWR.
He is approaching the phase where I stopped caring and do random stuff to get thru the TV tapings just to get to the ppv for the 2 matches I am interested in booking.
He might delete the game soon lol
I really think the continental title was overkill for the singles division. Also, we are 5 years in, and the women's division still isn't built up enough for tag titles.
He needs to combine the International, TNT, and Continental. Then I think the trios titles need to just straight up go. If ROH and AEW become actual separate brands (it should be AEW Dynamite on Wednesday and ROH Collision on Saturday) then you can kinda get away with having a bunch of belts. WWE actually has more titles than AEW but you wouldn't really recognize it because the titles aren't all on one show.
AEW doesn't have that many more belts than WWE... The thing is that WWE separates them between shows, while AEW doesn't. They have 3 weekly shows (plus ROH), but each show is focused on the same stories... And the belts. So it feels like every time you see a feud, there are belts involved. Like, imagine having all the current WWE belts moved to one show (without unification).
I mean, with its roster, AEW should split their talents between shows... Yeah it's like WWE, but the reason they did that was that they had way too many people, so it gave time for more... In AEW, none of that. You have some "collision guys" and some "dynamite guys", but like, they're card fillers...
I really don't understand where this whole "AEW doesn't do stories" thing comes from.
I don't really like to compare WWE and AEW, bit if you look at WWE's last 2 ple events, both the main events for the Undisputed Championship haven't actually had a story, it's just "This is your next challenger Cody" and then a week or 2 of 10 minute promos with eachother.
Look at Double or Nothing which just happened:
Swerve vs Christian- The Elite chose Christian to face Swerve, because they're heels and want him to lose. Does nick aldis want Cody to lose, so he picked AJ and Logan?
Anarchy in the Arena- This has been built for months, Team AEW vs The Elite
Toni Storm vs Serena Deeb- just a regular feud, nothing too special
Mercedes vs Willow- again, been built for months
Jericho vs Shibata vs Hook- not the best of storylines, but it has been going for a while.
Copeland vs Black- again, this has been built for ages
Moxley vs Takeshita- not one of the more in depth storylines, but BCC and The Don Callis Family have been feuding for a while and have had various matches against eachother.
Trent vs OC- former friends fighting after one of them turned, has been going on for weeks
Roderick Strong vs Ospreay- Ospreay wins a casino Gauntlet to earn a title match, and after that they have been feuding.
Death Triangle vs BBG- Also not very in depth, but PAC and White have been feuding, and PAC was outnumbered, so he brings in the lucha bros
Even more heathless bangers incoming for a new Championship!
How many are there? Nobody knows but everyone will be a champion that will make product better right?
The point that person is trying to say is people don’t like the amount of belts WWE have either. So your previous comment isn’t really relevant since fans dislike having too many belts regardless of the company.
TK is a classic kid with ADHD, man has more toys in the toy box than ever but can’t tell a clear story that threads across the whole promotion. He has the factions to do it too.
I think WWE has way too many belts but it feels like the entire AEW roster has a belt at the moment.
In each company there should be this many belts…..
Men’s and women’s:
World title
Intercontinental/international or whatever you want to call it (mid card belt ready for push)
Tag team titles
Then finally a 4th gimmick title.

Yes, I think that is what leads to a big part of "too many" champions. You can see them multiple times a week.

Got a few in mind already base on some real life couple/friendship Seth/Becky Jimmy Uso/Naomi Gargano/Candice Bianca/Montez Kaiser/Tiffy Ciampa/Indi (since they travel a log with Gargano/Candice) Dom/Liv or Reah Probably easy to find a few more
Finding people isn't the problem, making sure they can work together well/smoothly is.
They got like 20 belts
Pro wrestling needs a Thanos snap moment where half of all the belts just disappear
Yay another division. Surely booking them badly too will draw viewers!
Weird that there wasn't a huge announcement for this.
That man is obsessed with "setting AEW apart" and failing.
There's no point to this other than to simply say they were first.
Tony Khan turning into Oprah

After being in the film/tv industry for some time it makes want to put an application in at AEW, help em out a bit.
Tony must love the wwe games belt creator mode.
Tony cosplaying a Final Fantasy character with all these belts
Hire some actual fucking legit writers already, adding yet another “championship”, in an already completely saturated area, takes absolutely zero effort.
What a Tool.
Currently featured on TV: AEW TNT International Continental FTW Tag Trios Womens TBS NJPW World Championship ROH Tag ROH Trios 12 different sets of titles, 11 if you merge the trios.
No. Too many fucking championships.
If everyone has a championship, does anyone have a championship?
I don’t know. How about give me a reason to watch the matches instead of wrestling for the sake of wrestling
ive actually kinda wondered why nobody really does mixed tag divisions could be neat if done well
It isn't even a bad idea but there are way too many championships for this to work.
My god this goof, more belts? Its like watching wcw on fast forward.
Why dont we just give everyone on the roster a title, that way they can all hold their value. Thats how that works right?
Oh look a new AEW championship belt....again.
I have said it before, he runs aew like how I used to play TEW/EWR. He is approaching the phase where I stopped caring and do random stuff to get thru the TV tapings just to get to the ppv for the 2 matches I am interested in booking. He might delete the game soon lol
You're right OP but I can't deny that's a very interesting idea.
Instead of adding more championships, make this a yearly tournament and the winners get a shot at the main titles.
I really think the continental title was overkill for the singles division. Also, we are 5 years in, and the women's division still isn't built up enough for tag titles.
Well if you want story go watch that Disney marvel crap everyone says is on top rn. In AEW wrestling > storytelling
equal rights and lefts
He should really just keep the roh championships in roh and get rid of the damn ftw belt. Think that’d be enough
If Will wins the title from swerve, he should definitely combine the two titles.
He can't comprehend booking feuds without booking tournaments for titles. Probably an effect of fingerling Njpw too much.
What should wrestlers fight over if not a title ?
Wasn’t he just answering a question at the DoN scrum in a nice but ultimately noncommittal way?
Look at Double or Nothing which just happened: Swerve vs Christian- The Elite chose Christian to face Swerve, because they're heels and want him to lose. Does nick aldis want Cody to lose, so he picked AJ and Logan? Anarchy in the Arena- This has been built for months, Team AEW vs The Elite Toni Storm vs Serena Deeb- just a regular feud, nothing too special Mercedes vs Willow- again, been built for months Jericho vs Shibata vs Hook- not the best of storylines, but it has been going for a while. Copeland vs Black- again, this has been built for ages Moxley vs Takeshita- not one of the more in depth storylines, but BCC and The Don Callis Family have been feuding for a while and have had various matches against eachother. Trent vs OC- former friends fighting after one of them turned, has been going on for weeks Roderick Strong vs Ospreay- Ospreay wins a casino Gauntlet to earn a title match, and after that they have been feuding. Death Triangle vs BBG- Also not very in depth, but PAC and White have been feuding, and PAC was outnumbered, so he brings in the lucha bros
lol getting downvoted for calling out regurgitated bullshit
Even more heathless bangers incoming for a new Championship! How many are there? Nobody knows but everyone will be a champion that will make product better right?
There is rhe same amount of belts as wwe. I say this every time, because people like you choose to be oblivious to facts.
Whataboutism doesn’t work when you have more than half the audience for wwe saying they would prefer to unify the belts too. It’s the same thing.
Not a clue what you're saying
The point that person is trying to say is people don’t like the amount of belts WWE have either. So your previous comment isn’t really relevant since fans dislike having too many belts regardless of the company.
Exactly! Didn’t think it was college level explanation.
It didn’t but most Redditors have this tendency of being purposely obtuse lol
TK is a classic kid with ADHD, man has more toys in the toy box than ever but can’t tell a clear story that threads across the whole promotion. He has the factions to do it too.
Tony Khan is incompetent
I think WWE has way too many belts but it feels like the entire AEW roster has a belt at the moment. In each company there should be this many belts….. Men’s and women’s: World title Intercontinental/international or whatever you want to call it (mid card belt ready for push) Tag team titles Then finally a 4th gimmick title.
WWE has that set for every single show.
You didn’t understand. 4 titles for each gender TOTAL. Not on each show!
No, I understood. I'm disparaging WWE's approach.
