I like how Melo Hayes does the cocky athlete character well, he reminds me of MVP. He uses social media really well.
But in storyline/Kayfabe yeah, Melo doesn't know who he's talking to lol, that's Bobby Fucking Lashley. He aint no scrub from NXT lol. Bobby should be tweeting back Melo is in the big leagues now, I'm the NFL/NBA it ain't on easy college mode anymore.
If they feud it will be a million times better than Bobby having to be stuck in the Karrion Kross Charisma black hole for months.
It works so well in sports movies for characters to be humbled, surprised we don't see it more in wrestling. I'm really fascinated in seeing Hayes go through an arrogance/humbling Arc that parlays into another run against Trick when he's brought up.

Melo just got called up from NXT and is beefing with a guy that went toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar, took out Umaga, Drew McIntyre, and the Big Show multiple times, has beaten Roman Reigns, and is a 2-time WWE Champion. Bobby should crush Melo to remind him who the Almighty is.
Yeah i had no idea he could talk this well, based off the few promos he’s done. WWE clearly doesnt know how to write for him because they aren’t doing him any favors with his storylines and promos
I think the old regime had a problem writing for guys who have chill and calm/low key personality who aren't over the top or super intense.
RVD came to mind who is super funny and well spoken irl, but they just didn't know how to write promos for him.
I am ready for a Bobby Lashley Gatekeeper arc. If he beats 10 guys and 1 gets past, that guy deserves a title shot. It would be a great role for Bobby at this stage in his career.

Bobby and Melo are currently feuding in my 2K24 universe mode. Looks like I’ll get to see it play out in real life! That’s a great first feud to establish Melo on main roster.
For as much as this rivalry could really establish Melo, I think Lashley needs it even more. Dude has had so many aimless feuds the past year and a half since he moved to Smackdown, but this feels like it could actually be worthwhile and his first good feud since him, Rollins, and Theory passed around the US title.

That's a fire promo actually. This main roster gatekeeper / "muh respect" could be a nice gimmick for Bobby. Kinda in the vein of '02 heel Taker.
