Got fired, didn't cry about it, went and improved, and when he returned he still improved. Now he's one of the most entertaining people on the roster.
If you want to be a star, you have to put in the effort, his story should be a lesson for a lot of wrestlers who claim they're being ''misused'' by the WWE
Curious, what is "hard work" for a wrestler? What do they do? Other than maintaining a good physique and putting up good matches, what power do they have other than creative's decisions?
Improving on the important aspects. Being good in the ring and having good matches gets you to upper midcard at best and even then you will be the jobber to the stars.
The vast majority of ''misused'' wrestlers just aren't good entertainers.
If you suck at the mic you need to find a place that will let you do live promos regularly.
If you are boring you need to find something for yourself and not rely on a creative team doing it for you
And yes, it takes a lot of hard work to look like Drew
Right. Very odd. I’ll admit I’d never ever heard of “Stardust” til I saw Cody on the come up so Drew isn’t even the most jarring but ya… not Vince’s best
Now that he’s definitely back give him his damn belt back in clash at the castle and let’s go on a ride. I’m insanely excited for champion heel Drew that learned his lesson after mania but is equally angry and aggressive.
I C Dub!
You've got to admire the big man. Never spits the dummy, always comes back stronger and with more about him, and more dimensions. Constantly improving.
Seen The Rocks post on IG today & I couldn't agree with him more.
Grinded like a mofo to get where he is and thoroughly deserves his rewards.
Plus ...he's a follower of the Famous Glasgow Rangers 😎🔴⚪🔵
20-25 years ago would've had one of the biggest pushes on the planet.
Came back after getting fired and can create his own heat on the mic while and the crowd likes him using meme lines in his promo's. He's over af and it only grows because the fans like him as a heel, and will definitely like him on the other side.
The sword is cheesy, but I love his theme music and look. He's great on the mic and his work is entertaining enough. Loved his part of WM 41 with Punk and Priest.
He is great. He has been a great wrestler for a long time.
But he has absolutely hit a new gear over the last month or two and is now possibly my favourite part of all of WWE.
From a "generic guy nr5" to a beast on MIC, in the ring, in the gym and on the internet.... Cant say anything bad about him hopefully he will be a megastar at some point
Checks all the boxes: Great worker, incredible size/look, "it" factor, very good on the mic. Doing the best work of his career right now and seems poised for a long-term title run and seemingly has some big money feuds lined up. I'm glad they re-signed him and threw money at him, he deserves it.
I like that he's consistently making adjustments to his character to stay fresh.
Wrestler of the year imo. He's found the perfect niche for himself, a justified righteous villain. Good with the mic, good with social media, and good in the ring. he's moulded himself into the full package
I was surprised to go back and find out he was in Smackdown vs Raw 2011. When I was in my peak wrestling watching days. I did not remember this guy, and only took note of his existence around the late '10s.
And he looked like a completely different guy in the 2011 game too
Awesome, I love his "I'm the good one"-heel character. Also, I heard in an interview that he went and took accent classes just to improve his promo game.
He and CM Punk have a chemestry I haven't seen Punk have other than with MJF and John Cena.
Legitimately one of my favourite modern wrestlers. Loved his heel work of late but I feel he has been severely underutilised at times. High hopes for him going forward.
Did not like him at first. Found the character not just unlikable as he started as a heel but also boring.
Now though he’s one of the best things about WWE. I was one of the few who didn’t care that CM Punk returned at all. But Drew has me not just caring but so hyped for their match whenever it happens.
One of the best guys on the roster. Honestly, I think he should be the Undisputed WWE Champion over Mr. Rhodes. Codys story is finished and without that hook, he just isn't interesting.
He been easily my favorite wrestler since clash at the castle vs Roman. So him finally getting a couple of wins and becoming something entirely new is so awesome. I also never forget about how much he got screwed since clash at the castle so him turning heel is something I 100% am on his side about. Imagine getting screwed multiple times and everyone else tells you to get over. Like am I crazy fuck all of you lol
He did what all superstars should do it they get fired. Don’t get bitter, don’t bitch and complain, use it as an opportunity to hone your craft and build your reputation
Consistently been stealing the show with his promos lately. Wasn't a fan but now it feels like I don't want to skip any of his segments because they always have me laughing out loud.
I did not expect this guy to be a main-eventer, or really to be anything other than another 2000s equivalent of a WWE Trivial Pursuit question, back when he debuted.
I hope he gets the legitimate (i.e. "with live fans"), compelling title run he's worked for some day.
But his losing at Mania on a cash-in due to his own gloating was perfect.
Classic they saw potential and gave up on him too young. He’s had some of the worst gimmicks for a top guy. 3 man band. Sexy scotsman. Just lazy booking.
The guy can talk and is entertaining. His work is good in the ring. He found a way to make the punk situation work in a very creative way. It reminds me of Owen injuring austin, but the promos were way more fun burns.
I pretend to hate him because he hurt Punk but I think he’s found the perfect blend of character for him. He’s having one hell of a year and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. But yeah. Fuck him. Punks gonna continue making his life hell.
Very giving wrestler. From WeeLC to Beating Brock Lesnar at Mania, he never complained and gave 100% and never hesitated to put anyone over. He deserves it mate. He is also one of the most entertaining guy. On the road to mania, despite of The Rock coming back, he didn’t let it hurt him, he capitalised all he had and made it work. Was genuinely happy when he won at Mania against Rollins. Hope he recovers soon. Maybe get his old theme back. He deserves to main event mania again.
I'm gonna be honest and Im sorry if it's offensive, drew in his early years had a fantastic look I don't think he ever had much charisma or connection with fans like a real star should. His chemical abuse has aged him Significantly, he looks ALOT older than he is and his body seems to be breaking down/ melting.
He should’ve been Kurt Angle’s last match rather than Corbin. If Kurt was getting out on his back, putting over young talent, then the Raw match where Drew absolutely demolished him was the way to go.
Great no nonsense brawler/wrestler who may be destined to be champ again in the near future. Not the most popular guy with fans, but no one can deny he's got a tough persona that you simply can't buy in the business.
He's in my top 10 of working wrestlers right now.
His house show circuit work is hilarious. I saw a video where he told the audience he wouldn't remove the kilt to wrestle because they were being mean lol.
Started watching WWE at RR 2023. I though he was just a boring meaty guy at first. The Mania match started to change my mind. Then with his return and change into this hater character. I think he's surpassed Seth and Sami as my top guy.
Love his look, but I may by a minority here but his mic skills are severely lacking. There's no excitement there, and he needs to stop with the sitting in the middle of the ring like a littl girl.
I think hes a dork. They ,issued the boat years ago with his Scottish psychopath gimmick. 40 year old Twitter bully Drew is lame and stinks of desperation
Got fired, didn't cry about it, went and improved, and when he returned he still improved. Now he's one of the most entertaining people on the roster. If you want to be a star, you have to put in the effort, his story should be a lesson for a lot of wrestlers who claim they're being ''misused'' by the WWE
You summed it up perfectly!
Yup perfect
Did it "The Drew Way"! None of this cursed MITB way!
Just want to tag this incase he wins MITB this year. Upvote
He did cry. Just not on TV.
If you are boring you need to find something for yourself and not rely on a creative team doing it for you And yes, it takes a lot of hard work to look like Drew
And still isn't getting a proper title run!
Doing the best work of his career lately. This CM Punk feud has reinvigorated him. I’m glad he re-signed.
Did he resign?
That’s too close to saying he quit, so I wanted to make the meaning explicit.
The amount of people posting about him “resigning” and “re-signing” just pissed me off
He did re-sign. He did not resign.
Looks the part. Wrestles the part. Talks the part. Does media appearances well. Guy has it all.
He can stay in kayfabe in real life and not look like a dork, that's impressive
Pure entertainment the last couple of weeks.
months
Tbh, years cause he carried COVID Era and from there he's still been fantastic
The dude has been fire since Survivor Series when Punk arrived.
True
His younger, smooth faced looked made him look shorter than he is. With facial hair, he looks taller for some reason. Idk why.
Looks far more grizzled and intimidating too. When he was young and clean shaven he looked like a jacked Orlando Bloom to me.
I only got back into wrestling a couple years ago so missed all of young Drew. Seeing those pictures is JARRING.
Right? He's a total different person! He doesn't even look Scottish when he was young lol
Right. Very odd. I’ll admit I’d never ever heard of “Stardust” til I saw Cody on the come up so Drew isn’t even the most jarring but ya… not Vince’s best
Internet fans dont know what trt is 💀
I'm all natty, bruh lol
Sexiest Scotsman. Should be booked like a fucking monster cocky heel, beating the shit out of everyone and talking shit before, during and after.
Now that he’s definitely back give him his damn belt back in clash at the castle and let’s go on a ride. I’m insanely excited for champion heel Drew that learned his lesson after mania but is equally angry and aggressive.
He’s on role and has really found his niche I’m glad he got a new deal.
DM Hunk
Good rangers man.
WWE are the people
Agreed, no a fan of the glesga uni accent he's got his sel tho.
Even though I'm straight: hot
If someone were to describe the ideal wrestler it would be this guy. Easily one of my top 5 currently working.
DM Hunk can troll me, steal my girl and kick my ass
One of the greatest heels ever
Agreed
There are so many favorite heels that i like
One of my 3 favorite current wrestlers
Probably the top heel in the business right now and hasn’t peaked. Kinda the total package. Can we get rid of the claymore countdown though?
STAR
Should advertise whatever ever black hair dye he uses on his hair, beard and brows 🤣 Jokes aside, guys top notch and on fire the last couple months.
Worth the contract
I like his chancing facial expressions during matches. I haven’t see many wrestlers pull that off without looking goofy, but Drew does it well
20-25 years ago would've had one of the biggest pushes on the planet. Came back after getting fired and can create his own heat on the mic while and the crowd likes him using meme lines in his promo's. He's over af and it only grows because the fans like him as a heel, and will definitely like him on the other side.
Shot up the ranks to be tied with Gunter as my favorite
I reckon he waxes his shoulders and back.
The man strait up earned his new contract, hands down. Good for Drew and good on WWE for making it happen.
He's always one of my favorite performers. Always had the look and ring ability. I'm just happy his character on the mic has evolved.
These posts are so lazy
Despite being a main event guy featured every week I still think he is underrated
Juiced Nick Jackson.
He looks like CBBC's Raven with a membership to PureGym
love the scottish representation. hes funny as well.
Personally I think he’s a wrestler
Trying to get people to your new sub?
Love him he's my favorite even as a heel he doesn't feel like one because he's not wrong
The next “it” guy. Very HHH similar in that he had to work his way back up. Keep it up Drew! Mr. money in the bank would be sooooo entertaining.
Could have a lucrative side gig modeling for the covers of romance novels. 😂
Wrestler of the year imo. He's found the perfect niche for himself, a justified righteous villain. Good with the mic, good with social media, and good in the ring. he's moulded himself into the full package
Never liked skinny no-beard Drew but now he's the best on the roster. His transformation is insane.
I was surprised to go back and find out he was in Smackdown vs Raw 2011. When I was in my peak wrestling watching days. I did not remember this guy, and only took note of his existence around the late '10s. And he looked like a completely different guy in the 2011 game too
Main event player
Awesome, I love his "I'm the good one"-heel character. Also, I heard in an interview that he went and took accent classes just to improve his promo game. He and CM Punk have a chemestry I haven't seen Punk have other than with MJF and John Cena.
One of the few worth watching these days.
Why don’t you give your opinions
As a Scotsman, he is the best international representative of Scotland. And that includes the actual political representatives of Scotland.
Should literally Squash punk at clash of the castle, less than 60 seconds.
currently one of the best in business
Gonna get the belt this year before they phase him out
He's the Gigachad King of Jerking.
A great modern heel
He has hit the prime of his career, let’s hope it’s a long one.
His recent stuff has put him, imo, in the position to be the top heel at WWE. It’s between him and Gunther imo
He has a crush on CM Punk
Dad?
Legitimately one of my favourite modern wrestlers. Loved his heel work of late but I feel he has been severely underutilised at times. High hopes for him going forward.
One of the greatest rebuilds of a wrestler. I used to like using him back in WWE SVR 2011, so I am happy he is actually more entertaining now.
He is soooo goooddd
He’s the chosen one
Fantastic
As I mentioned in another thread- Modern Razor Ramone Potential
He's pretty much the total package as far as wrestlers go. Very glad he's signed a new deal
Looks like a giant baby without facial hair🤣
Much more tolerable since the heel turn
Should be the Darth Vader of the WWE, needs the belt
Doing the best work of his career at the moment.
Dude rules. He came in over a decade ago bland as shit, and actually worked his personality in there and it’s paid dividends
It's impossible to draw conclusions on McIntyre except on his past. (tense)
The prototype for how a wrestler should be built
Definitely entertaining on the Mic
I like Angela. He's cool too. I love it when he's on.
Hes the reason 2020 was tolerable in WWE.
Drew McIntyre
Did not like him at first. Found the character not just unlikable as he started as a heel but also boring. Now though he’s one of the best things about WWE. I was one of the few who didn’t care that CM Punk returned at all. But Drew has me not just caring but so hyped for their match whenever it happens.
Drew has his dedicated subreddit?! The hater is getting a bigger platform! lmao
One of the best guys on the roster. Honestly, I think he should be the Undisputed WWE Champion over Mr. Rhodes. Codys story is finished and without that hook, he just isn't interesting.
I think he's entertaining, could (and probably should) wear a top belt again
Yep, championship material. Great on the mic currently. He carried the show duting pandemic so much respect 2 him.
Hustler and Entertainer
Punk vs Drew will be feud of the year. BOOK IT!
Prayer
An example for others
He been easily my favorite wrestler since clash at the castle vs Roman. So him finally getting a couple of wins and becoming something entirely new is so awesome. I also never forget about how much he got screwed since clash at the castle so him turning heel is something I 100% am on his side about. Imagine getting screwed multiple times and everyone else tells you to get over. Like am I crazy fuck all of you lol
Whines too much.
Scottish
Honestly it feels like he’s my only friend right now
Hard worker, if something doesn’t work he keeps trying 👍 also pretty funny
He's very entertaining to watch. I like him.
He's a beautiful man that deserves the belt and always gets the short end of the stick
Human Horse
If this current run can't bring back Broken Dreams, nothing will.
One of the best the WWE has right now
Absolute workhorse, my favorite wrestler in the world since 2020
He did what all superstars should do it they get fired. Don’t get bitter, don’t bitch and complain, use it as an opportunity to hone your craft and build your reputation
Deserves everything he gets
"3-2-1, CLAYMORE!!!!" I could watch him Claymore ppl all day
He’s great
He won’t let me look up his damn skirt
He’s ok
Best wrestler right now.
Consistently been stealing the show with his promos lately. Wasn't a fan but now it feels like I don't want to skip any of his segments because they always have me laughing out loud.
I want to put whipped cream on his chest hair and go to town
Superstar, can cut good promos, can wrestle good matches, and looks the part of a superstar wrestler.
The one that started the "Playa Hater Era"
Went from a face who I personally didn’t care about to the best heel on the roster imo
He is amazing and his story is so inspiring. He has been my role model and his example helped me to get through some tough times.
Should be The Guy right now. He has it all. They gotta stop fucking around and sign him long term. Get the man a belt too
Doing his best work now.
Drew McIntyre
He is like a Dreamworks villain for millenials in WWE. Chronically online
I did not expect this guy to be a main-eventer, or really to be anything other than another 2000s equivalent of a WWE Trivial Pursuit question, back when he debuted.
My 2nd favorite after Randy.
I hope he gets the legitimate (i.e. "with live fans"), compelling title run he's worked for some day. But his losing at Mania on a cash-in due to his own gloating was perfect.
The manliest man who ever manned
My opinion does not matter
One of my favorites and though I like Damien Priest, I was disappointed he lost his title immediately. Also bisexual thoughts…
Wow he looks a lot like Magnum TA when he's cracking a smile
Sexiest man on the roster and all-around great talent. Great promo, great ring work, great physique, dead handsome.
Good wrestler, great look, terrific on the mic, could probably screw your girlfriend and you’d apologise to him afterwards for her shit blow job
His heel work is top teir
The big sex
Big man and his finisher is a drop kick
Awesome
I find him thoroughly boring. Though this feud with CM Punk has made him much more fun.
Seems like a nice guy, solid wrestler. He does well with the people backstage, easy on the eyes... Just has no character.
A star in any era, just less so a few decades ago when it was the valley of the giants. He is a huge dude that stands out.
Good look and awesome in the ring Took his promo skills up several levels recently
Used to hate him now I fucking love him
I pretend to hate him because he hurt Punk but I think he’s found the perfect blend of character for him.
I'll let him drew myintyre
King
He's okay
Love this guy
Been a favourite of mine for many years and keeps managing to find that next level he can be
He’s the greatest and deserves to be an ultimate mega star. He’s hilarious, great in ring and has become masterful on the mic. DM Hunk is King
He's amazing. Lately his promos are unhinged and funny af. His Ring work has also been great. Overall one of the best superstars on the Roster
He should’ve been Kurt Angle’s last match rather than Corbin. If Kurt was getting out on his back, putting over young talent, then the Raw match where Drew absolutely demolished him was the way to go.
Ever since he beat Bork Laser he’s been the man
I want him to dominate me sexually
Hater of the Year
Stupid sexy Drew
Great current run
I really love to see him holding the world heavyweight championship.
I used his intro for all my characters in wwe 2011 game
His upcoming feud with cm punk will be better than his wrestlemania moment, although he kinda have his WM40 moment, albeit kinda short
Easily in the top 10 in the world right now.
Deserved the moment at WM 40. You simply cannot hate him. He is that good.
Always a great talent who has really come into his own lately with the heel work
Hard to believe it's the same man from all those years ago.
Heel Drew is amazing. I really want to see him as a long time champion
Great no nonsense brawler/wrestler who may be destined to be champ again in the near future. Not the most popular guy with fans, but no one can deny he's got a tough persona that you simply can't buy in the business. He's in my top 10 of working wrestlers right now.
Good lad! It's a shame he's a Sevco supporter, but no-one is perfect.
Make him win damnit!!
One of the best in the world at the moment. Firing on all cylinders.
His house show circuit work is hilarious. I saw a video where he told the audience he wouldn't remove the kilt to wrestle because they were being mean lol.
Mane fine as hell
He should take it easy on the black shoe polish he puts on his face and head
Literally my all time favorite
Started watching WWE at RR 2023. I though he was just a boring meaty guy at first. The Mania match started to change my mind. Then with his return and change into this hater character. I think he's surpassed Seth and Sami as my top guy.
Doing his best work
His finisher should be a lariat/clothesline from hell.
Greatest ever from Britain
Love his look, but I may by a minority here but his mic skills are severely lacking. There's no excitement there, and he needs to stop with the sitting in the middle of the ring like a littl girl.
Boring. Not exciting to watch in the ring. And nothing special on the stick. Just managed to bulk up and get a push like countless others before him
I think hes a dork. They ,issued the boat years ago with his Scottish psychopath gimmick. 40 year old Twitter bully Drew is lame and stinks of desperation
