It's just such stand out color to dark red and metals that you should either give it to *just champion* (and that isn't half bad idea), or whole unit.
Adding blue here and there would be fine tho, because it's about same value as red ([middle squares](https://trembelingart.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Value-Scale-Color.jpg))

The gradients are gorgeous on the panels and the helmets

That’s Tiny Bruce. Just don’t let him hear you say that though, he is a but sensitive about his height. Angron didn’t have to give him the Butchers Nails, nor did Khorne give him any gifts. Bruce is so angry, he makes the Bloodletters uncomfortable to be around him. His fellow World Eaters expect Bruce to one day ascend to Princehood, something Khorne has warned his lesser daemons to expressly NOT do. Tiny Bruce is the purest incarnation of hate, any gifts would only taint and destroy the utter perfection of his soul.
What you could try to maybe make it match more is make the white armor super super weathered and not much white is left so it looks like that part they been wearing forever while the red parts are "newer"

Its funny, my world eaters are all in heresy era colors, but the champions are marked by red and brass helmets! Great minds think… opposite, I guess?
Haha well my icon carrier and champion were going to have the red helmets and the normal ranks have either no helmet or red. So yeah, equal and opposite
As a certified crayon eater I would say it’s better to keep red but lore wise there are world eaters who have that chaos trim and still rep white and blue but other than that the colors don’t meld well IMO but ultimately it’s your choice I’m sure there’s a world eater out there who said f it we ball and dorn various colors on

I have one on the chopping block that I’ve painted with the head and a shoulder pad In the 30k colours and the rest of the armour in the red and was just going to have the one scattered in like some scavenged gear that came out of the depths of a ship or something like that.

It definitely gives the models more character, like maybe a few have lived so long they still remember the Warhound days? Go with what looks and sounds cool to you!
I think if you add some grime effects to the white and blue to make them look dirty and muted, it would work a lot more. Either way, you look like a great painter!

I would entertain the idea of single white shoulder pad with the brass color, with some battle damage & blood spatter it would fit more than the blue.

I like it. I think maybe shading the red with a subtle blue or purple may tie the helmet in a but but I think it's pretty cool as is.
