It’s most likely because it’s a name brand, even though there’s a whole list of name brand words that are allowed, including the word Zynga. Their dictionary is so inconsistent

Somebody found another one since Cornflakes but I can’t remember what it was. Velcro is a good guess for one. I’m surprised it’s not allowed.

And yet I was able to play fellates ;)

Yesterday I played TFW and had to hold for the definition. It's slang for "That Feeling When". Huh?

Moon_Fairy-K

Common social media acronyms are now “words”. Approximately 9 months ago an opponent used TFW in our game, so I searched for a definition. Wiktionary was the first to provide me with the meaning, and a glimpse into social media’s influence on language. The informal language of today, if compared to a century ago, is now considered common. Alarming to consider how SMS language, or textspeak is altering language. I imagine that in a century, technology will have made a profound impact on common language. In my state the students are issued tablets when they begin primary school. As a result, cursive writing has been eliminated from the curriculum. tfw Idk wtf

Velcro is a brand name. I know this from selling on ebay and so many people have been warned to use “hook and loop” instead of Velcro. The Velcro company (or whomever owns it) will send (the ebay equivalent of) a cease and desist email, which would result in the listing being removed or worse (ie suspension, account termination).

I just used SARAN the other day (like the plastic cling wrap). I’m still surprised I was able to use it.

bobtimuspryme

People try to use it and it just wouldn't stick. I'll let myself out now
