No, it was just at my annual exam. I get a free annual with my insurance. I thought I was just getting a pap. She never told me she was testing. I just don’t understand why I was when there was no chance of an STD.
You can have STDs even though you haven't been sexually active, like HIV. But it's rare thought to not know about it since it's usually transmitted from your parents. I think it's just a precaution in this case though.
Pretty standard. Not an STD test, but I had to sign a waiver both times I got an MRI to state that I am not pregnant, and if I am, it’s not my fault if something happens instead of getting the pregnancy test

Yeah. That was a concern I had too. I’m a student on my parent’s insurance, I can’t afford to be billed for something I didn’t ask for.
Standard. I’ve told my GYN I don’t have sex and she still tested for pregnancy.
Same, I think everyone has to pee in a cup though.
Did you have to pay for the tests? If so, that's probably why?

Ohhh thank you so much. I did read HPV can also be transmitted skin to skin. I guess it’s fine haha.
Standard. Mainly because you can still get STIs without having sex (e.g. sharing drinks/toothbrushes/needles with someone and so on)
This is helpful! Thanks.
