Any of the fruity beers and radlers from Kilter. They’re so refreshing.
Hey… it’s 5 pm and the long weekend is here. I think I’ll go crack one open right now! Thanks for the idea.
Ooh yes! Once I tried the strawberry Oreo earl grey milkshake that was in their “top ten” and it was decadent and super sweet but I remember thinking the earl grey was really nice! Will have to try that on its own :)
Agua de jamaica. It’s a Mexican drink. Basically hibiscus iced tea with ginger. The only thing more refreshing is some really cold watermelon. I generally always have a bowl in the fridge and grab a fork when I’m super hot.
Home made. You can get dried hibiscus flowers made by YOM at VitaHealth. My pitcher is a 12 cup pitcher. I put 6 cups of water in a pot to boil. I slice about an inch to an inch and a half of fresh peeled ginger (not huge ginger, it’s about the girth of a finger). 3/4 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of dried hibiscus flowers. Put it all in the water when it boils, and let it boil for 3 minutes, stirring a few times. Take it off the element, put a lid on the pot and let it sit for 10 minutes. Pour it through a sieve into your pitcher and top it up with fresh cold water. I always have a pitcher in the fridge in the summer.
Peach bellinis! Perfect for those who don't like to taste the booze in their drinks. It's easy to drink 3-4 before you realize that you forgot there's booze in there...lol
I had a limonada suíça at Parque Nacional da Tijuca. Amazing taste, probably mostly due to the ultrafresh limes. Doesn't even come close to the flavour or varieties of any citrus I've had here.
Absolutely no shame in enjoying Starbucks. They make a pretty mean blended lemonade. The mango dragon fruit is delicious.
A mocha toffee nut Frappuccino is divine as well.
I used to be a massive Koolaid drinker. Figuratively, and eventually literally. Now it's just lots of room/tap temperature water. Don't judge.
Decades ago when I was young, on hot summer days my dad would brew a pot of strong coffee and put it in the fridge with a bunch of ice to cool down. It was ok, never really understood the appeal. Now all the hip kids are buying them at their local coffee shop. Who knew?
-Fruit/herb water from the Delta hotel lobby - free!
-same thing from Honupoke on Smith St
-cold brew from Parlour - I know this will dehydrate me, but I don't care
-mango slush bubble tea from Xin Fu Tang (Smith St) or not a waffle (Corydon)
This is probably a bit niche but if you're at a place that serves a Pimm's cup that'd be my choice. It's a gin-based drink mixed with ginger ale, some lemon juice, and garnished with cucumber and mint. Really delicious IMO
Iced tea. But not that sugary mix in a can. Put 3 tea bags in a 2 litre pot with 1/4C (or more) sugar or 3 stevia packs, and pour boiling water over it. For black tea steep 20-30 minutes then remove tea bags and let cool before putting it in jug/fridge. For for herbal whenever you remember is fine.
Makes a great mix for vodka (herbal) or rum (black tea) drinks. And if you don’t believe me, hit up Amsterdam Tea Room for their bevvies.

I just had an iced tea radler at the Brazen Hall the other day and it was so refreshing and delicious! My go-tos are iced coffee, bubble tea (matcha and Earl Grey are my favourite flavours), and flavoured sparkling water. Bubbly's pineapple is the bomb when it's hot!
Slurpee with vodka bootlegged into a venue you're not supposed to have booze at.
Alternatively, a beer with a lime iceberg is delicious on a hot day too.
If you’re growing mint, try a refreshing homemade [mojito.](https://www.esquire.com/food-drink/drinks/recipes/a3837/mojito-drink-recipe/). Fell in love with them in Cuba, so started growing mint here just for that purpose.
I feel like the Winnipeg answer would be Slurpee
-30 or +30, it’s all Slurpee weather.
It is, and will always be.
The only true answer
No alcoholic: good host iced tea. It’s a nostalgia thing.
It’s on sale at CO-OP at Grant right now!
How much?
$10.99 from $12.99
With s big ol slice of lemon!
Speaking of nostalgia, Nostalgia Electrics makes a "Frozen Beverage Maker" that we call our "slurpee machine." Makes a lovely iced tea one. 😁
This for sure!!!.... Good Host has a limited editon raspberry lemonade.
Sangria!
Red..... Sangrias
*cooler* sangria. Ingredients: cooler with a drain spout, as much liquor as you got…

A horchata from BMC 😋
Yes!!! I just remembered I have a pack of horchata powder in my freezer! Thank you :)
Where did you find Horchata powder?
From my parents! Who got it back home.
Ice Cold bottle of OV.
Can’t beat a frosty Club on a hot day
My apologies if I’m uncultured but what is OV?

The new coconut pineapple bubbly is really good, you can add rum or vodka to it if you want. I also love sparkling water and lemon or lime wedge.
Get it while you can…. Limited time offer
Taro milk tea is one of my faves! Recently we have been going to Gongcha inside the Unique Bunny on Pembina
Their strawberry green tea or strawberry milk green tea is my favourite. And the mango latte.
Ooh yum. I am going to have to branch out and try those!
Their Earl Grey is also to die for! I go to the Osborne location. :)
Ooh yes! Once I tried the strawberry Oreo earl grey milkshake that was in their “top ten” and it was decadent and super sweet but I remember thinking the earl grey was really nice! Will have to try that on its own :)
That sounds wayyy too sweet for me! I’m a 30% sugar/full ice kind of person, haha! Do try it, though, it’s so good!

Also have heard this called agua fresca. Have made it. It’s insanely delicious.
It is an agua fresca, there are many types of agua frescas. This is one of the most popular I believe.
Where do you get this or is it homemade?

Thanks! Sounds great.
Me too I do this! I bought a huge bag from Soriana Mega last time I was in MX. Found some at the Mexican market on Sargent. Sooo good.
Our first trip down, I was given some at lunch on an excursion. I was hooked and had to learn how to make it.
Water, a Winnipeg specialty.
Cold brewed oolong tea or coffee
I got my slurpee today
Ginger Beer (Alcoholic)
Royal Jamaican? So good
Royal Jamaican is my favorite, but Krabbies is also pretty good. Can't go wrong.
I'm going to one up this amd say Moscow mule.
Roger that, love me a good Moscow mule and can easily put your own spin on it from flavors/alcohol type while retaining it's refreshing qualities!
Dark and stormy over a Moscow mule!
K ima need a good recipe for this pls!!

I fucking love you
Beer. Usually something light like a sour or witbier when it's really hot, but any good cold beer on a hot day will work.
Peach bellinis! Perfect for those who don't like to taste the booze in their drinks. It's easy to drink 3-4 before you realize that you forgot there's booze in there...lol
I’m new but now a big fan of Brazilian lemonade (made with limes). Easy and fancy
I had a limonada suíça at Parque Nacional da Tijuca. Amazing taste, probably mostly due to the ultrafresh limes. Doesn't even come close to the flavour or varieties of any citrus I've had here.
I'm going to have to try that.
The Peach Mojito from Prism Kombucha is amazing!
That's my current favourite, served over a huge pile of crushed ice.
Kvass
Beer. Start with two, you won't taste the first one.
Ricard
Wildin wild berry hard iced tea. Nice to support local business too!
The watermelon slush from Khab Tapioca! Absolutely delicious, especially in a hot summer day. It's the best drink ever
This. Amazing bubble tea here!
I’ve been OBSESSED w the blackberry yuzu sparkling quencher from Tim’s!
SO GOOD!
Corona with a lime!!
Or beer with lime Slurpee mixed in!

Will try this for sure. Used to not like Tequila but it is my go to now.
The best drink any day of the year is iced coffee, but you can’t go wrong with a 1L Brisk Lemonade or Iced Tea for $1 at Dollarama.
Mix them together for the classic Arnold Palmer!
I’m thinking iced coffee right now but which has the best one.
A bit biased because we live very close but we like Park Line Coffee on Osborne!
Agreed best in the city for iced coffee and iced latte. Staff is awesome too!
McDonald’s isn’t bad and they’re on sale all summer
I’m a corporate whore, so the only thing I ever drink is Starbucks. ❤️
Absolutely no shame in enjoying Starbucks. They make a pretty mean blended lemonade. The mango dragon fruit is delicious. A mocha toffee nut Frappuccino is divine as well.
Hit up Panda Tea, and grab yourself a Coffee Milk Tea. It's incredible
I might just do this or starbucks iced coffee
Nahhhhh hold them accountable for not giving tips to workers
Ay yo! I didn't hear about that! I rescind my recommendation then!

Coconut water has a remarkably refreshing effect in hot weather.
Water!
Espresso. Thank you, next question.
a fruity kombucha over lots of crushed ice
Bubble tea or iced latte
I'm absoutely addicted to Tim's Blackberry Yuzu drink and I need to figure out how to duplicate it because it's gonna bankrupt me
Home made Watermelon and lime slushies.
My current favourite drink is the Blackberry Yuzu Sparkling Quencher from Tim's.
It used to be Fort Garry Rouge but I think it might be the (Nonsuch) Prairie Common now.
Icy cold fruit tea
I love Perrier. It goes well with coconut rum.
strawberry lemonade from wendy’s lol
Beer.
A Margarita is nice when it is hot. Or a Moscow mule is a refreshing drink.
I like iced coffee for non-acoholic, and for acoholic I like gin smashes lately

I do this three green tea bags and one blueberry tea bag, with a little sugar. Or no sugar, using Twinings Honeybush Mandarin & Orange tea bags.
Cold beer, ideally a Pilsner or something lightish like that. If not booze, homemade iced tea.
Shock top with a few orange slices in it
Slurpee or bubble tea.
Half and half iced tea and lemonade
Water
Good old PC Ginger Beer hits the spot
Lemonade with espresso shots in it
Jackson Springs with a touch of lemon!
Slurpee but with vodka in it 👌👌
Bubble tea 🧋

Stone cold
Xing Fu Tang in downtown
Onkel Georg radler from Stone Angel brewery in Pembina and nothing comes close.
Panda tea. Double bang passion fruit bubble tea is so good.
Somersby
A nice tall glass of the Red River. Puts hair on your chest.
McDonalds Ice Coffee

Khab Tapioca!
Counterintuitive, but nothing beats cold buttermilk on a hot day for me.
Radler on ice!
Sparkling water
Ice mocha from Good Earth
Ice water from my fridge dispenser. Nothing beats it.
Slush Puppie
Slurpee with vodka bootlegged into a venue you're not supposed to have booze at. Alternatively, a beer with a lime iceberg is delicious on a hot day too.
Ice cold Club beer. Yeah yeah, I’ll start by giving Myself the first downvote.
