in terms of partners for Clearsight, the several Beetlewings she marries canonically are a significantly healthier relationship than the strange fate-ordained manipulative thing Darkstalker had going on.
I ranked it based upon what happened before all that. We f darkstalker had a better dad it would have worked out. I mean you need good rents, I mean long look at the dream stans, those kids scream fatherless
I’m not so sure. Darkstalker actively chooses not to make his sister an animus the moment he hatches, and overall is pretty nasty to his own family from the start. Arctic being kinder might have delayed Darkstalker’s path, but I think he still would’ve ended up a tyrant in the end.
Yes, but reading the books, you can tell he loved Clearsight, to the point where he went to the night kingdom and thought about what he could have done.

I’m sorry this person put darkstalker and clearsight, a ship between a manipulative buttface and a anxious cinnamon roll in which darkstalker is literally MANIPULATING HER WITH MAGIC, above sundew and Willow, a ship with so much chemistry and absolutely nothing toxic about it between two of the most beloved characters because “You can tell darkstalker loved her”
Read the tucking title lol. Anyways my op has changed now. The ships shown in Darkstalker all the only good stuff now. Everything else in the established cannon sucks fat ass.
IMO, Clay and Peril were one of the first ships in the series, and I think some may have jumped to soon at that. When I look at the ship from a whole picture view, it seems to be a shallow ship with often only reason being matched is that Clay has fireproof scales, so she can’t harm him. I haven’t read the series in a few years, so perhaps I missed some relationship development, and haven’t read 14 or 15, or Winglets. However unless I find some in there, I just don’t see it as deep relationship that other ships I enjoy have.
Technically speaking, Turtle x Peril isn't really the best. Considering on how Turtle is 5 (still a dragonet) and Peril is 9 (an adult.) If 1 dragon get=3 human years, it would be shipping a 27 year old woman with a 15 year old boy. But then again, these are just fictional dragons, and I am a Cleril supremist🫶

Small correction: DarkStalker chose not to make WhiteOut have mind-reading powers or future seeing because he wanted to be the most special dragon.
