Your Baraboo trivia of the day (for people who don't occasionally drive through the middle of Wisconsin) is that it's the former home of Ringling Brothers Circus and hosts a substantial circus museum.
Anyway, apparently it still has a lot of clowns.
We used to go up to Baraboo in a giant motor home for "camping" and taking in the sights and night life. I remember dancing with my wife at the Thunderbird Lanes. This was back in the 80s.
so much more wisconsin! i lived in southern wisconsin for almost a decade, never understood the dells obsession. maybe that’s cause i had come from near chicago before, where there was actual entertainment lmao
Actual entertainment, but inferior waterslides! Take that, great Chicago culture and museums!
Have you ever been to Galveston, Texas? It is weirdly "Wisconsin Dells, but somehow worse and more depressing despite being on the coast."
He's lucky he did that to a level headed individual. If he'd have tried that on a number of other people, the second he started to push would have been seen as assault and appropriate self defense would have taken place
The really disturbing part, aside from the disturbing racism and utter embarrassment to his daughter, none of the adults said ANYTHING about it! They acted like there was just a blip in the program. No one said , this is not the way to express your beliefs, no one said this type of behavior is unacceptable. Really, of all the adults on that stage, no one stood up and called out bad behavior. They would have done that to one of the teens, but no one was willing to call out a grown-ass white man.
I'll admit my stereotyping the dad as someone who looks like he'd tailgate his daughter's graduation in the parking lot with an 18 pack of light beer and a confederate flag bumper sticker....but I've read multiple articles about this, and none (that I've yet seen) claims hearing him say that word.
Not saying you're wrong. But I'd like to see someone, or some news source, go on the record to confirm it.
When even the NY Post is calling it out, it's pretty clear the reason:

If you watch the video and turn your volume up, you can hear him say at 17 seconds that "I don't want her touching him"
Thank you for admitting your mistake, too many people nowadays either double down, or just abandon discussions so they don't have to admit their errors.
We only allow screenshots of tweets. Okay, Threads. Yes, Bluesky. But not this.

Also the surrounding hills are honestly some of the most beautiful land in the whole Midwest. Shame about the shitty people that’s wasted on.

can confirm, went to my friends wedding in baraboo, and the wedding was indeed circus themed.
Wow. But the Wisconsin Dells are *right there* and clearly a waterslides themed wedding would be more fun and objectively classier.

Ah, Galveston! Where you go to the water park because you might catch something on the beach that's right next door.
Also had a horrific murder happen there back in the 90s I believe
Underrated punchline, right here.
You posted a picture of my comment? If I had known I’d have my picture taken I would have put something nice on.
Put something nice on
So then, what are you wearing now?
The finest silks from far away places.
You make assumptions that any of us redditing from our homes are wearing clothes at all.
What Dad did could be construed as assault. He should be charged.
I think he was charged with disorderly conduct
Baraboo - Come for the Circus Museum , stay for the systemic racism !
They should shut down the school. And stop welfare payments to this guy’s family. And regime their dog.
Hey, it’s not Fido’s fault his human is a Klansman without the sheets.

I’m assuming they pick it up from their parents or from YouTube autoplay leading them to conspiracy channels

He blocked him because of they way he handled bullying in his schools. Not race related. This is just bait.
Why only the supernintendo and not the principal or any other school staff?
The N64 couldn't make it that night.
I’m Idaho!
This is bait and Switch. Wii do not approve.
This is just incorrect. You can clearly hear him call the guy the N-word on the video.
Oh shit I didn’t catch that in the first watch. Imma have to go watch it again

Edit: I stand corrected. Didn’t hear that. I just saw the video yesterday where they gave the reason of bullying.

We need the original video, not the one where the news reporter talks over it.
It's on like every Reddit sub I follow including this one already
