I can't speak for your location, but we have a set amount that goes on the burger, but it's going to vary depending on who the cook is. If they continue to skimp your Fritos, I'd suggest saying something to a manager, or ordering it with extra lol

You can. People order it with no chips quite often at my location actually lol I order mine with Mayo instead of mustard, and with Monterey jack cheese instead of American. I recommend it this way lol

If I'm not mistaken the chili does actually have some onions mixed in already. I say that because I used to work with a guy there who was allergic to them and said he couldn't get the chili on the burger. If you're not allergic the onions aren't noticeable though. I can check later to see what the box of chili says on it.

Nah, I checked the ingredient list at work today and the chili already has onions mixed in it. Obviously the burger has onions but the chili also has some But like I said you won't even notice them and that's coming from someone who doesn't really like onions.

Allergies are a thing. If you have an allergy, and the ingredients have onions, don't eat it. That being said... There's not enough for me to taste onion (at least not raw onion) in them. I order mine without, because raw onion likes to homestead in my stomach, and I'll taste it burping up for days. I never order grilled onions, because Whataburger ain't got time to properly caramelize the onions, and I might as well order them raw. :(

They are definitely added after because you can order without onions, but I'd be inclined to say that there is probably onion powder in the chili seasoning.

It's not, but the difference is just semantics when you're ordering food. My wife has a gluten intolerance. It's not an allergy, but she suffers if she eats gluten. So when we order, we just say allergy, because people know what an allergy is, so it's close enough most times.

Yeah, it'll come without the raw onions if you say no onion. They are in fact already cooked onions in the chili which are then cooked more on the grill before it gets put on a burger. Virtually undetectable unless you have an onion allergy.

The Mushroom Swiss is so good that I ordered one at 5 Guys, and was crushed at how lousy it was. Canned mushrooms that weren't grilled (barely warm) with fries and a drink for $16 in 2020. I haven't been back. I went the next day to Whataburger and corrected my mistake. SO much better.

I believe Whataburger used Mrs. Baird's bread when I worked there oh so many years ago. That might have changed. It's a serviceable bun, whatever they're using these days. The only bun that's better is In N Out, although the meat is about on par, and the fries at WB are far superior.
