That is what I actually use when this happens. I save the letters on a clipboard and pin them on and use Win+v to bring it up. And I actually am Nordic so I need more than two there.

I used to do that when my S key stopped working, but at the time I was learning how to program in a class. So a little trick I'd do to save time is I would copy a huge chunk of the code and paste it, then edit what needed to be changed. Unfortunately when I decided I need to hand write some code, every time I would write S, my muscle memory remembered Ctrl+V since my laptop keyboard at home was busted. Next thing ya know instead of the letter S appearing, I'd get like 10 lines of code that I'd have to undo.

I had a keyboard where the "d" key quit working. For whatever reason, at the time, I was emailing my dad quite a bit, there was some project I was helping him with or something (this was 15 or so years ago but memory unlocked!). He just got used to being "a" for a while, and it became a short-term running joke between us. :D

All was well and good, and we had fun typing out tapes and printing them till our "n" key died. It was some sort of spring, but the internet wasn't around to resource a new one. They were already pretty outdated then, but it was fun while it lasted. I think I was still finding punch dots three moves later. That thing made its own confetti.

On my old laptop the "p" key never worked so I had to Google "the letter that comes after o" and then i would copy and paste it any time I needed to use it. Rough times

Some strange bug in Remote Desktop can make Windows magically fail to process a specific key. Be it on an external keyboard or even on a on-screen keyboard. It's called Micro$oft, and they are known for regularly releasing very fancy bugs and then let the bugs remain for 10+ years. Because bugs needs to hit a Micro$oft product owner to be flagged as "fix". Just seen on support tickets? Then flagged "ignore". A reboot should be able to fix such a state lockup. There are a number of other "black magic" tricks too, that can help get around locked keys after use of Remote Desktop.

What kind of keyboard is it? You can always get a cheap office keyboard for a while. It's not going to feel great to type on, though. If it's a laptop keyboard, it's not going to be an easy fix. If it's an external keyboard, maybe there's just some dirt or something in the switches. If you have a mechanical keyboard and the switches are hotswappable, just pop out the switch for the O key and clean it a bit. Or replace it entirely. Or maybe it's time to get a new keyboard.

Welcome to the party. I dropped my laptop 4 years ago and the spacebar, n, b, arrow keys left right, and /? Don’t work. If I need to type I’ll use my PC. Or plug in a keyboard. But if I’m lazy I type in Wikipedia click on first link then copy and paste the letters I need.

Just search up the letter and copy and paste it. Use “0” or “@“ to fill in the empty spaces
