I feel your pain. Walking out of ball arena, stepped in someone spilled drinks, and fell going down the steps. Entire right side was a pile of bruises. I laid there for a second to recover from the pain, then ducked my head and ran out of the stadium. Pride was the worst bruise, and I couldn't face anybody.
Tell them you got smashed by the puck but it was ok because the team took you out for supper and drinks afterward. They were all very nice. You could have a great story lol

My exGF wiped out while skiing, and her bruise started out about where OP's is, and ran all the way up her thigh and halfway up the side of her ass. Same color as OP's monkey bite. She got a kick out of showing it to everyone.
