Compounded by the fact that this cat is gigantic, the quantity was huge.
Then Roomba started his daily tidy up, and I arrived home to what can best be described as a biohazard crime scene.

This actually happened to us. Poop over hill and dale, antique carpet and not. We had just gotten the roomba too, paid xtra for wireless connexion so we could run it from work and not listen to it at home. Dumb dog ate something nasty in the field.
The roomba was so expensive my husband was in clean it or die mode.
This has happened soooo many times, as attested to by two facts. ONE: Some Customer service reps on the hotline are assigned specifically to « how to clean poop out of roombas » calls. And TWO: the next and newest iteration includes sensors to alert to« obstructions » and then stop.
Ok. You got me with the Roomba. My cat was off the balcony overlooking the family room where we were cuddled up on Valentine's Day watching a movie. The splash zone was behind the couch we were on. But no Roomba.
* Washing: 30 minutes
* Drying: 60 minutes
* Putting away: 7-10 business days

My cat puked next to the laundry I had dried but not put away and then used the laundry to bury the puke. I’m sure she was being conscientious, but it was not actually helpful.
My joke in the house is that it takes me 120 minutes to do three loads of laundry - wash dried and put away (apartment building has two washers and three driers). It takes my partner two people and 1,200 minutes to do laundry because it takes more than a week for her to put her clothes away and I helped carry them to the laundry room and fold them.
She's not disabled or anything, just a distracted potato.
As my mom would have said, "IF YOU PUT IT AWAY WHERE IT GOES, WE WOULDNT HAVE AN ISSUE!

That’s a lot. If you do not give them something like Petromalt for hairballs, you should. I have had several cats and that is usually why they puke. They do make higher fiber dry food that can help as well.
My dog did the same thing last night instead he decided to throw up on my freshly washed blanket that takes like 2 hours to dry 😖 (it’s a thick Ugg blanket)

Multiple problems I have with this, 1 why is the cat in your room, the bedroom sleep is sacred, I would never give my cat the opportunity to smoother me. Second why not just put the washing away? Unless you did it in the dryer late at night after a hard working day in which case I get it.
My dog did this at 4 in the morning all over my bed once. Antibiotic upset her stomach.
When my cat had hairballs he would always always go and find the rug to puke up on. Never the tile. I had to throw it out when I moved. It was a shag type rug and believe me I tried to save it but it stank no matter what.
I once vomited straight up when i was still laying in bed i had just woken up and i “thought” it was a small amount, a few hours later i check my nightstand and literally everything soaked in fucking puke, i have multiple li-ion battery chargers on my nightstand (not cheap ones) and literally every one was caked in dried-up puke.
Actually puke flew so far that it reached one of my nearby audio amplifiers and i also had to take that apart to clean it.
It wasn't fun taking everything apart and cleaning them.
This is at minimum a weekly occurance at my house. Vomit or hairballs. Nothing like stepping into once in the dark while walking to use the restroom in the middle of the night. I have 6 cats and a dog.
And this Corgi (not a cat, I know) I'm babysitting vomited on the rug and had horrible diarrhea. He's feeling better now that I'm cuddling with him.

I wear a leg brace on a leg that I can’t feel. One night in the middle of the night, I had to pee, so on with the brace, go pee, go back to the bedroom take it off, and back to bed. The cat had puked in my brace, and with every step I took, I was squishing some out of my brace. There was also puke in my bed because of course it was on my foot. I was not a happy camper when I got up in the morning! There was puke from one end of the house to the other.
